Today was a momentous occasion for the London Police Service as we welcomed 13 new officers to our team, presented badges to two Special Constables, and celebrated 14 well-deserved promotions at our Swearing In, Badge and Promotions Ceremony this afternoon. 👮👏 We are incredibly proud of these individuals who have committed to serving and protecting our community with integrity and courage. Their hard work and perseverance have brought them to this special day, and we are excited to see the positive impact they will have in #LdnOnt in their new roles. The London Police Training Unit is in full swing! 🚔 Our 15 cadet recruits, fresh from the Ontario Police College, have been put through their paces this week with dynamic scenarios, handcuffing and search training, multiple officer arrests, de-escalation techniques, and defensive tactics. In addition, we are proud to have 11 Cadets, 2 LPS Special Constables, 1 Court Prisoner Security Officer, 3 Fanshawe Security members, and 4 Western University Special Constables currently participating in our rigorous 7-week program. Their dedication and hard work is commendable! We are always training our members so they are prepared to ensure the safety and wellbeing of London’s communities. 😀 #LdnOnt

Deputy Chief Julie Craddock and Finance Director Cathy Dam attended @opcva to welcome our newest officers as they completed their basic training. They will now join their coach officers on general patrol to gain real-life practical experience in the policing profession.
