Our family’s had a lot of people from the community reach out about the situation involving my dad being let go as the head football coach of our high school at Maple Mountain. For those people here’s a few things on the matter.

Nearly twelve years of time, effort, and hope and our son arrived on November 8th. He's healthy and happy and growing well. Without our surrogate, this never would have happened.

@chrislema Thank you!! The onboarding idea is really interesting. Hadn't considered what a "unifying" process that can/should be, but it totally is.

@ryandonsullivan Here are a few ideas: 1) Put them in charge of onboarding programs. 2) Assign them to cross-functional projects to help bridge departmental silos. 3) Make them liaisons for important stakeholder relationships. 4) Give them ownership of team-building activities.

What do you do to amplify the people on your team who are especially great at "rallying the troops"? If you have individuals who have a unique ability to bring your team together and have them work toward a common goal, how do you help them exercise that muscle regularly?
