Talk with a lot of venture GPs and one thing is clear: LP alignment is shaping venture behavior more than people admit. More VCs would swing harder if their LPs were less risk averse. This game was never meant to be about consensus or career-risk minimization. Venture at its core is conviction, asymmetric bets, and disproportionate outcomes. LPs who back the bold get the bag.

For how useful it is Artificial Intelligence has worse PR than Ticketmaster, Palantir and the American healthcare system combined.

Test drove a >$200K EV (before discounts) at a dealer.
Asked the salesperson how to adjust regenerative braking, he didn’t know.
Asked what the padel shifters do. He insisted they change the “gears.” (They adjust regenerative braking.)
Asked if it can access Tesla’s supercharger network, he didn’t know. (It can with a NACS adapter.)
I was still interested, but then they showed me a lease with a 30% residual value.
If I can buy one in three years for 30%, I’ll do that instead!

Funny thing when an LP calls you to ask: “Hey, there are some big funds going around telling LPs that small funds are going to die. What do you think?”
I ask them: “Just go look at large fund returns vs small fund returns, minus few funds that are truly elite. Or just call founders directly.”
Big funds: don’t do this. LPs give your names out, and you know your deal flow is coming from smaller preseed/seed funds.

Tariff Refund - Key Date 6-13-2026

The key deadline your company needs to be aware of to make sure you're eligible for tariff refunds is June 13, 2026. After that date you will not be able to file protests for entries filed on February 4th, when the first IEEPA tariffs were put in place. Once they exit that window (494 days after entry), the only recourse will be a lawsuit.
