@jlazaroff Oh. It literally is so when you do a check to see if something has a length greater than 0, you can return a falsy values instead of having that type error thrown. I can just settle for `(jake && jake.length > 0)` like a normal person though....

@ryanfs Sorry, I meant what *would* happen if you tried to set it in this hypothetical scenario. IMO the downside is you'd have to come up with a bunch of weird and arbitrary behavior for undefined to behave like this.

Javascript friends - why not give `undefined` the property of `length` with a value of `0`. Would prevent a lot of crashes. What's the downside?

@jlazaroff You get that friendly old type error saying Cannot set property 'length' of undefined. I'm not sure of a way to do it besides stealing the namespace by naming a function called `undefined` and recreating it with properties.

@ryanfs What happens if you try to set that property?
