@SehjalHamit @ChartMogul Heya, @SehjalHamit! Great minds think alike. We are releasing Baremetrics Lite in Q2. It'll be a sheets-based interface with the Baremetrics dashboard you know and love. Let us know if you'd like to test it out before it comes out!

Has anyone tried building a lightweight version of @Baremetrics or @ChartMogul for their SaaS?
I thought Stripe had this kind of setup built-in but was naive to assume so. All I want for now is a couple of questions answered and a nice UI to look at:
- How are my customers and revenue distributed per plan?
- Revenue distribution by country?
- How much have I lost in Stripe fees and FX for different countries?
And a bunch of other questions.
I guess I can build this with Stripe APIs and some scheduled syncing since it seems doable, but maybe I'm missing something.

@kenjisano Woah this is AWESOME, Kenji! We might have something soon within Baremetrics itself that does the same thing... 👀

@jessethanley Hey, Jesse! Just hover over the "i" icon on the tool and you'll see the link. Appreciate the feedback!

@Baremetrics This is on X, not LinkedIn. You also still haven’t added a link to the tool.

Something every SaaS founder should do today:
Read this article: longform.asmartbear.com/max-mrr/
Go to Profitwell/Baremetrics/whatever and export the last 6 months of data (ex. this month). The more data in that spreadsheet the merrier. Profitwell's free "MRR Overview" dashboard export works well for this.
Open @cursor_ai /Codex/Claude and ask "based on the metrics attached and this article what is my max MRR? if I was having tea with @asmartbear what would he tell me to focus on?"
It'll give you some clarity for what to work on right now.
Bonus: run this weekly on a Monday with @cursor_ai new automation product.

@jessethanley Hey, @jessethanley, this is a good shout! When we originally shared this on Linkedin, we linked the original article, but have added the link in the tool as well. We'll work on improving the calculator's usability.
English

@Baremetrics This is lazily put together and should link to the original article.
English

@jessethanley tested this exactly 3 months ago with hoox data, changed everything for our growth strategy. pro tip: look for those weird retention dips in months 2-4. what patterns did you spot when you first did this deep dive?
English

@jessethanley Wish someone would just make a simple tool I could put my numbers into.

@Baremetrics we love you.
It’s the first thing I look at every day when I wake up and before I go to sleep as I run growth for @TryHuntr
I like watching the numbers go up

@luciushq @theandreboso This means a lot to hear. 💙 Open metrics was one of our earliest bets. Agree with @luciushq, we still believe it's the best trust signal a founder can give.
English

tbh the landing page copy won't fix this. I've seen founders write "we're in it for the long haul" then pivot 3 months later. What actually works: show your MRR or active user count publicly. Open metrics page > any promise. Baremetrics did this early and it built more trust than any about page ever could.
English

I want to support indie founders but one of the reasons I rarely buy from them is because I never know if the product is going to last.
I don’t want to spend money on something and invest time in learning how to use it only for it to shut down in a few months because they want to launch a new project.
I’d definitely address this somewhere on the landing page because there are probably a lot of people who think like me.
