@saadbelfqih Your project is really cool but at the same time the UX have been horrible tbh haha, but it's improving day by day. You should always design the UX from a human/user point of view and not let the ai agent decide for this, I learned this the hard way for my ios apps

would you rather make $100,000 a month with a team of 10 or $30,000 solo? i would and have chosen the second option but curious if others who follow me feel differently

Even though nerds are socially awkward, its actually easier to hang out with them than with smooth people, because standards are lower. You don't worry that you might be making social errors; all of you always are; so it stops mattering.

If your AI agent keeps generating generic UI slop, the problem is probably not the model. It has no design context. The only fix I know: give it real references. Refero MCP shows your agent real screens, user flows, and patterns from top products, so the output starts to feel much closer to real product design. refero.design/mcp

Codex is my favorite coding app right now. It's clean, but has everything I need to ship fast. It's also quite delightful to use and snappy, and shows enough context without overwhelming. I was hesitant to try it because I don't like locking in with a single provider, and I was also really into working in the Terminal, and yet now I'm using it for 90%+ of my work.

Worst case, if I get my Apple developer account banned I'll probably just switch to either doing a chrome extension, an Android app, or a web-based saas.

@saadbelfqih Something that happened to me recently: it was profitable at 10$/day budget (set on maximize conversion) i up'd the budget to 25$/day and i am not getting more conversions

before i run any apple ads campaign on any app as an indie i make sure to set a testing budget first in other words: money i am willing to lose without worrying too much about it :) then i track performance weekly or daily depending on how fast i get impressions and installs every month i also set some time to review the basics keeping it simple: how much did i spend vs how much did i earn from the ads! i don’t go much deeper than that but maybe you should this keeps my mind clear and helps me assess whether it’s worth pushing harder on ads for that app or just stopping if there are positive signals i reinvest the money earned back into ads while this keeps things simple i shouldn’t hide the fact that it still feels painful when i realize i’m spending more than i’m making

Neuroscience shows that you must avoid making important decisions under intense pressure. Because, under pressure, brain areas responsible for logic (prefrontal cortex) hold less power over your reasoning. Instead, your reasoning is overtaken by the amygdala and other fast-firing areas: a constant threat assessment aimed at minimizing loss. It doesn't strive for the best outcome. It just aims to survive. And these behaviors are used against you almost daily.

@pbakaus Or even worse: the default set of icons that claude uses: HORRIBLE. Can't stand them anymore, there must be other icon packs, make impeccable use other free icon packs when icon are genuinely necessary (but again: custom illustrations > icons, that make the website feel generic)

@pbakaus You really need to make impeccable prioritize real estate for illustrations/images because that's where even the best ai made websites fail: it's just text text and text. You should force impeccable to make blank canvas box that should be replaced by image/illustration (by user)

this is 2026 AI slop. ironically, in part introduced by anthrophic's frontend-design skill, which replaced one set of model defaults...with another (fraunces for editorial anyone? warm brown italics?) it's incredibly hard to avoid, and build software and skills that unlock true creativity and uniqueness (very much a requirement to stand out with your landing page). i've started experimenting with 'anti-attractors' for fonts/colors that attempt to branch out from the defaults (now part of impeccable), but only getting started. take a look, play around and familiarize yourself with all types of slop in the slop gallery: impeccable.style/slop/
