In person conferences introduce challenges that sadly still exist for women — it almost seems more than ever after a 2 year break from them. Emily is an expert in the field, gave a fantastic talk, and was questioned about her expertise and authority in the subject afterwards.

I’m going to be home alone for an evening soon (rejoice!), and I think I’m going to watch a movie without having to tailor it to others’ tastes. Can’t decide if I want something weird like a Todd Solondz or David Lynch kinda thing, a dumb macho movie, or some truly scary horror.
