Shoutout @ETRGolf was an insane sweat today. Almost lost to a Justin Thomas team. So I’m glad @adamlevitan didn’t have to deal with that. @cmain7 @wahoowaaa @SkyHookDFS

@rampagepoker That is wild to release your hand at showdown like that when there is $40k in the middle. Protect your cards.

For the love of god.
Get a massage and eat ice cream for a week.

Post marathon recovery plan starting today: Tirzepatide: appetite control to offset dramatic decrease in weekly running mileage. SS-31: mitochondrial repair. Will add GLOW next week for structural repair.

@buda3915 I love it. Hit more with 3 stacks than anything. But overall you need to stack. I’ve hit more with 5 mans than anything. Of course you can win without. Do me a favor and look at who is winning just the next 2 weeks. 70* percent will be 5 mans

@RotoGut @michaelkasdan @ShipMyMoneyDFS What is the primary driver of this drop? Has pitcher edge over batters grown in the age of analytics?
English

@michaelkasdan @ShipMyMoneyDFS League average from 2010-2020 was around .255.
Since then, around .245. In 2016, 25 qualified hitters batted > .300. Last season, there were just 7 and Judge was the only guy over .311.

@adamlevitan If DK paid interest on the entry fees I'd consider playing. That is just a long time to lock up capital for a lottery.

Always thought Best Ball would be big. Never thought it would get this big.
DK just opened a $25 buy-in, $20M prize pool tournament for 2026 NFL. Payout structure pretty flat. I hath reached the full 3.9 inches.
For anyone with our Best Ball product, uploadable rankings here: establishtherun.com/etrs-top-300-f…

@SageCanaday Drag force scales with velocity^2. Running @ 12mph with a 8mph tailwind you will travel through air with a 4mph relative headwind. That is 3x less headwind than if there was zero wind.
3^2 = 9x reduction in drag force.
English

Um yeah. I’m pretty sure @mckirdytrained is totally off with their Physics here (like I commented)? An 8mph tailwaind still helps elites running at 12mph! You’re reducing your air resistance (compared to still conditions) as the atmosphere around you is moving with you more…

@SportsandShorts It is built by @bakebomb and we are planning in launching it for public use at somepoint soon.

@ProfTimNoakes 2 hours is a short enough effort that you don't need to replenish 100% of what you "spend". They'd likely be forced to consume more or slow way down in a 3+ hour event.

I watched Kenya's John Korir for as much of this race as he was featured on the television screen. I didn't see him obviously ingesting 120g carbohydrate per hour (ie taking a 20g gel every 10 minutes) or drinking 250 ml of a 12% carbohydrate solution every 15 minutes - or some combination of both. And the same for the female Kenyan winner, Sharon Lokedi. According to the theory that you can only run at world class marathon pace if you ingest carbohydrate at such high rates, especially once the muscle glycogen stores are depleted, these two athletes should have progressively increased their energy intakes in the last 45-60 minutes of the race. But it seemed to me that they did the exact opposite - once they started racing and drawing away from their opponents, they seemed to show a lesser interest in drinking and more interest in focusing on running as fast as they could. Which they did. Despite their apparent lack of interest in 120g carbohydrate per hour, they sped up progressively.
Perhaps I'm wrong. But it would be interesting to see some real data.

What a run from Kenya's John Korir to win his second straight Boston Marathon. With a healthy tailwind and great conditions, he runs 2:01:52 to CRUSH Geoffrey Mutai's 2:03:02 course record from 2011. One of the greatest performances in the 130-year history of the race.
