@TyRobben This is the number one way to gain broker loyalty and yet carriers just can’t figure it out. Respond. That’s it. it’s so simple.

At Great American we developed our reputation with brokers by responding to every submission sent in and responding quickly, including service requests As tech gets better volume increases and keeping up gets harder and harder. Too many have given in…you can’t get to every submission. I don’t accept the premise. Build the system so your expert underwriters can get eyes on every submission and get a decision back asap. That’s how you win the broker market. When I return to the market I’m going to make sure that happens - they get even better service than my teams have ever provided before

@Nick_Lamparelli Absolutely true. At Bunker the company was started on the *loose* market research that 90%+ of people buy insurance when it’s required.

Most people buy insurance due to some mandatory requirement (states require auto liability and banks require property coverage to protect their loan). I work many insurance organizations and across the board I always recommend that they buy their own insurance from a specialized broker, even though, they are technically insurance experts themselves…but follow the same trap as inexperienced personal lines buyers

I just counted a possible 48 endorsements available on the Travelers Homeowner quoting portal. Please let people buy insurance online, zero chance they screw it up.

Alright insurance folks, I am visiting the Corgi Insurance cafe in San Francisco. Check out the thread. Have fun banter, hate speech, healthy debate, whatever it’s X

@CedarStResearch if you count buses and cafes in San Francisco + all the money they’re pouring into SEO right now, do they have the highest customer acquisition cost in the industry? Selling $1,000 policies.

Thank you to the individual who shared this with me. Out of respect for his account, I will keep his name off this post. Is Corgi seriously building an ETF and Asset Manager alongside their debacle of an insurance rollout that includes a free city bus and coffee shop?

the “brexspresso” is tonic water, espresso, and orange bitters. This is definitely not A-rated, just like their paper.
