In the summer of 2001 I was a sous chef in a restaurant in Charlotte, NC. Ric Flair came in all the time and ordered the same thing, chicken breast with jalapeños.
He was always drunk but one day was very loud. He didn’t like his chicken for whatever so came back to the open kitchen and threw the chicken at my face. He walked off and I said “Damn, Ric Flair threw a piece of chicken at my face.”
Not sure what this has to do with the tweet I quoted but I love telling that story.

I have been a teacher for 29 years. During that time, I have had good classes of students and not-so-good classes of students.
NEVER in my life have I experienced the level of frustration that I am experiencing with this year's 9th graders.
Don't get me wrong, there are some great kids in my classes, but on the whole, the level of disrespect and inability to stay focused on their tasks is off the chart.
My patience is at an end..... This might be the year that I am done .

Jeepers, since the pandemic started I've cried at the drop of a hat with little provocation, probably because I didn't have to hold it in anymore. In fact, I choked up just now at crying being painful for you. That isn't fair.

I’ve never personally understood crying as catharsis. It’s never been healing or a release. It’s a painful experience for me. It physically hurts me to cry. I know it’s good for you, but I gotta be honest, it hurts. I need to know how common this is, so I’ve been asking people.

ever since Reddit told me a decade ago that washing my hair daily was bad for it I've tried and tried to minimize the number of washes and you know what I'm sick of it I'm just sick of pretending to be chill with how my hair looks and feels 30 hours after a wash I am DONE

@ryssee @JonKatz79 I think cats are way more fun. They’re goofy. People that don’t realize how funny cats are have never really spent time around them. There’s a reason they’re so popular on the internet.

So as Dads health declined he often said he’d like his ashes scattered at the Golf course of which he was a member of for many years, played nearly every Monday with his brothers, one of his brothers ashes are scattered at the 14th. I wrote asking for permission and was declined.

This evening: @DAGToddBlanche and I are announcing an 11 count indictment against the Southen Poverty Law Center.
Charges include wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering.
The SPLC allegedly engaged in a massive fraud operation to deceive their donors, enrich themselves, and hide their deceptive operations from the public. They lied to their donors, vowing to dismantle violent extremist groups, and actually turned around and paid the leaders of these very extremist groups - even utilizing the funds to have these groups facilitate the commission of state and federal crimes.
That is illegal – and this is an ongoing investigation against all individuals involved.

@sappholives83 My mom dropped something when I was on the changing table. When she bent over to pick it up, I rolled onto her back and she immediately stood up like "WHAT THE F WAS THAT?!" Well, it was my tiny little baby body and it might explain a lot. Thankfully, babies are made of rubber.

So I had an idea. Hospitals should be required to give every new parent a pamphlet on baby safety. It should include everything from “don’t leave your baby on a changing table” to “don’t give honey to children under the age of two,” to “don’t give babies water.” There’s a lot of basic stuff that people don’t know, and aren’t necessarily going to be taught, even in a parenting class.
