Last night, I watched 'The Salt Path' film expecting exactly what I got given Raynor Winn was herself co-producer. I finished thinking exactly what I anticipated also; anyone who bought her book or paid to watch this film in good faith should demand and get a refund. After just an hour of play, fatigue sets in, and the sessions stop being enjoyable. This issue is even more pronounced on consoles. At such a pace, the gamepad simply isn’t the most comfortable tool: it lacks the precision and reaction speed required. Where PC players can compensate with a mouse, console players find themselves struggling not only against opponents but also against the controls. Most importantly, this is no longer the Battlefield we used to know. Strategy, tactics, and team play have given way to fast duels and individual reflexes. Yes, the game has its strengths, but they come at the cost of losing what once made the series truly unique.
