the best way to use GPT Image 2 is not how most people are using it.. there's a lot of hype around this model but you'll quickly realize it's not as good as people make it seem out of the box. the model has been nerfed from what it was before release, specifically for AI UGC.. it's good but it has a lot of randomness, it warps sometimes, and the same prompt can give you completely different outputs. the best way to use this model is combining it with nano banana Pro. here's the workflow: find a reference photo on Pinterest that matches the aesthetic you want upload it to Opus 4.7 and ask it to create a detailed JSON to recreate the image paste that JSON into Nano Banana Pro with your prompt. example: "use this JSON as reference: [JSON] now generate: woman holding my product on beach" but here's the key part. once you have your nano banana pro image, put it into GPT Image 2 with the prompt "enhance this photo and make it look more realistic." don't put the JSON directly into GPT Image 2. it gives you weird inconsistent results with high randomness. let nano banana pro handle the JSON accuracy. then let GPT Image 2 handle the final enhancement + realism layer results below: left: realism enhanced right: standard nano banana pro
