They mix a lot of trim, the trimmings from other meats, other beefs from Brazil or other countries. They'll bring that in. That stuff comes in at $2 a pound or less. And they grind it with the American hamburger. Call it all American. I don't think they have to put that in the label and sell it as American hamburger.” They don’t. Under current U.S. regulations as of 2026, retailers and suppliers do not have to label ground beef (including hamburger) with country of origin information, even if it includes trimmings or meat imported from other countries like Brazil.
