Mahjabeen Baloch’s arrest from Quetta’s civil hospital by the state’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on May 29, 2025, and no production before a court of law suggests her enforced disappearance involving the law enforcement institutions – which was a common practice for Baloch men. But this fresh wave includes women in the heinous crime of enforced disappearances which we do not endorse. We call for accountability, justice and rule of law. Mahjabeen and all the other forcibly disappeared Baloch men and women, irrespective of their age and health concerns, should be released at the earliest. #SaveBalochWomen

Mahjabeen Baloch forcibly disappeared six months ago and her fate is still unknown. Now Nasreena Baloch forcibly disappeared in the same manner. The pattern remains unchanged. State forces continue to target Baloch women without fear of consequences. These disappearances have created a new reality in Balochistan. Women now face direct state pressure and repression . Families live with constant fear. The shift toward forcibly disappearing women shows a calculated escalation in repression. Arif Baloch was forcibly disappeared after state forces detained him from Basima on 30 October. His father, Zakir Ismail, has been subjected to enforced disappearance since 11 February 2013 and has spent twelve years in state custody without access, legal representation or due process. The family now endures two enforced disappearances at once. They continue to seek information about both father and son, yet authorities provide no response. This incident illustrates systematic collective punishment. A son who waited twelve years for the return of his forcibly disappeared father has now been forcibly disappeared himself. Families affected by these violations face repeated targeting, intimidation and silence from the State institutions . This silence deepens trauma and reinforces the absence of accountability. #SaveArifBaloch
