@SNEVKZTV @fesshole I’m sure when I did geography at school, there was a particular name for a road, river and railway all at the same location. Whenever I mention it, all I get is blank looks?

@fesshole As a secondary school geography teacher. This is not the worst thing I've been asked.

I cried when the geography teacher laughed me. Asking how an island as big as Britain floats on the sea is a reasonable question.

@fesshole Have £2.59 in Nationwide Internet account. They keep sticking a few pence in interest on it but I lost the password 20 years ago and it’s embarrassing to ask to withdraw it.

I have taken great pleasure for 43 years at getting monthly statements for a Nationwide account, which was in effect never used as they refused my application. I have also informed them over the years of changes of address. It's a simple thing but it costs them.

Worked for a now dead national restaurant chain. After being kept on, through a period of administration and new ownership, I knew it was time to finally leave witnessing the new owner of the business instruct his team of 'shop fitters' to tile over a cockroach infestation.

A parrot was in my garden that must have escaped, so i put seeds out. It ate them & came back for more bringing me a tin can lid. Every time it came back it brought me a shiny gift, which was usually junk, that was until it brought me a gold bracelet which I got valued at £3k

Works buys my train tickets, but I've linked the delay repay account to my personal bank account. So everytime I'm travelling for work, I pray for the train to be late.

@fesshole Find some examples of footballers who have also done something else after football and drop it into conversation. Just a bit of advice from father of five boys. They can’t all be pundits😆

Son is football mad. Obsessed with turning pro. However, he's objectively one of the shittest players I've ever seen and at some point in next year I need to have a talk with him about school and his future career path. Until then I'll keep acting as if he's Pele reincarnated.

Made an off hand comment in a meeting about a process at work that needs improving, my boss told her boss about it and now I'm the head of a huge project for my company. I have no idea what I'm doing and I have to write a draft proposal about it in a week.

I think a girl in the office fancies me. She's 20 years younger than me. Obviously, I'm probably imagining it, and I have no intention of cheating on my wife. Hasn't stopped me losing 5kg since the delusions started though. Imaginary affairs are the secret to weight loss.

@dude100500 @peterrhague My wife once reported my symptoms online.Cue the automatic reply by email followed seconds later by a phone call with an appointment the same morning. I was being scanned in the hospital by the afternoon and on antibiotics by the evening….all on the NHS. All clear after a week!

I alluded to the NHS experience being shocking, here is what happened. This is "the envy of the world" My wife has been ill so tried to get a GP appointment. Normal process of phoning at 8:30am and staying on hold for an hour to speak to someone.

Poor bloke - Farm worth 12 million quid and so will pay £600,000 inheritance tax but can do it over ten years - imagine how we'd all struggle inheriting on 11.4 million quid . Should do a Go Fund Me page . I don't know how I'll sleep worrying about them paying a share ( fair share 40% of everything)
No Farmers, No Food@NoFarmsNoFoods

“I feel like I've worked all my life and everything I've ever earned is going to go on tax.” This farmer in East Yorkshire could be left paying a £600,000 inheritance tax bill under the Labour government's new farming farm tax rules.

We really do! 👏 This got us wondering what else people have found or bought for next to nothing that turned out to be worth more than you thought? We'll start... MSE Ciara nabbed a good-as-new Ikea Hektar lamp (£70!) free via a neighbour's clearout! x.com/jarede/status/…

@MoneySavingExp @MartinSLewis think you'll appreciate this. Bought a £500 monitor from ebay for £80 that I knew was a little broken, turned out it still had some warranty on it and the manufacturer was willing to fix it no questions asked. Bargain, right?

Recently went to a kinky rope class with my gf. I found it incredibly overwhelming. Not because of the sex stuff, but because it reminded me of my childhood inability to tie shoelaces.

@MoneySavingExp We’re in a position to pay off a £240,000 interest only mortgage or invest the £240,000 now and pay off in three years. Payments are £1400 per month at the moment and we have an account paying 5.15%. Big decisions to make.

After meeting with Met Police yesterday, Richard has confirmed with them the muster point for our march which will be just outside Victoria station. Starting point will be the The Apollo Victoria theatre (currently showing Wicked) where we will march to Parliament square for the premiere of LAWFARE. Make your plans, be there!!!
