@fesshole Have £2.59 in Nationwide Internet account. They keep sticking a few pence in interest on it but I lost the password 20 years ago and it’s embarrassing to ask to withdraw it.

@fesshole Was it the Little Chef on the A38 that's now a dildo shop?

@fesshole Find some examples of footballers who have also done something else after football and drop it into conversation.
Just a bit of advice from father of five boys.
They can’t all be pundits😆

@MoneySavingExp Excellent, Virgin Media, got in touch through live chat and had repairs twice, both within a couple of days.
Looking to change provider now though due to monthly cost!

How do you rate your broadband provider's customer service over the last six months?

@fesshole Use AI to your advantage and bullshit the rest! Good luck and I hope it works out 👍

@MoneySavingExp Not an exchange as such but Halifax Building Society allowed me to pay an old £20 note into my account recently.
English

Have you had any luck exchanging 'old' paper notes lately? 💸
It's proving a tricky task for this Forumite, not least due to the lack of available high street bank branches, among other obstacles...

@dude100500 @peterrhague My wife once reported my symptoms online.Cue the automatic reply by email followed seconds later by a phone call with an appointment the same morning. I was being scanned in the hospital by the afternoon and on antibiotics by the evening….all on the NHS. All clear after a week!
English

@peterrhague Are you saying to me in the god of our lord 2024 there is no mobile app to get an appointment? Srsly?
English

@TheNorfolkLion He and his mate also make jokes about Sunderland supporters….so what?
English

@terrychristian You don’t get it, do you! The government is going to get £600,000 and nothing is going to change except the name over the door!
English

Poor bloke - Farm worth 12 million quid and so will pay £600,000 inheritance tax but can do it over ten years - imagine how we'd all struggle inheriting on 11.4 million quid . Should do a Go Fund Me page . I don't know how I'll sleep worrying about them paying a share ( fair share 40% of everything)
No Farmers, No Food@NoFarmsNoFoods
“I feel like I've worked all my life and everything I've ever earned is going to go on tax.” This farmer in East Yorkshire could be left paying a £600,000 inheritance tax bill under the Labour government's new farming farm tax rules.

@MoneySavingExp Bought 3 watches from an auction as a job lot as I fancied one of them. Turned out over £1200 for them retail and I paid £150!
English

We really do! 👏
This got us wondering what else people have found or bought for next to nothing that turned out to be worth more than you thought?
We'll start... MSE Ciara nabbed a good-as-new Ikea Hektar lamp (£70!) free via a neighbour's clearout!

@MoneySavingExp @MartinSLewis think you'll appreciate this. Bought a £500 monitor from ebay for £80 that I knew was a little broken, turned out it still had some warranty on it and the manufacturer was willing to fix it no questions asked. Bargain, right?

@MoneySavingExp I’ve e used BitdefenderVPN and Surfshark….neither of which allowed me anonymity whilst in Europe. Still couldn’t watch U.K. based Tv or apps that rely on location being in U.K.
Hoping to read this and get some tips.
English

Do you use a VPN? Which one do you recommend?
This Forumite's subscription to PIA is about to expire and they want to know if there are better options out there

@MoneySavingExp We’re in a position to pay off a £240,000 interest only mortgage or invest the £240,000 now and pay off in three years. Payments are £1400 per month at the moment and we have an account paying 5.15%. Big decisions to make.
English

Should you overpay your mortgage?
MoneySaver Debbie overpaid but others should save instead. Here's what you need to know ⬇️

After meeting with Met Police yesterday, Richard has confirmed with them the muster point for our march which will be just outside Victoria station.
Starting point will be the The Apollo Victoria theatre (currently showing Wicked) where we will march to Parliament square for the premiere of LAWFARE.
Make your plans, be there!!!
