@venom1s I have seen many families where brother and father are doing very hard work for their family but females of the families are feminists. And those men don't get comfort in their own home.

Once, I was traveling in a sleeper class train because I couldn't get an AC ticket. A boy around my age came and asked if he could sit since he had a long way to go. I told him yes. He mentioned that he was going to Himachal Pradesh for a job he has at a hotel there. He seemed like a good person. After a while, he took out his towel, laid it on the floor, and slept. I felt bad for him. When he woke up, he told me that he doesn't have a father, and he has two sisters and a mother. He has been working in Himachal since he was 16, saving up money for his sisters' marriages. Then he took out a plastic bag and started eating roti with achar, nothing else. I asked him many times if he needed anything, but he said no. It broke my heart seeing him, and I thought about how millions of such men work and travel in the same way, facing hardships just to take care of their families. Millions of such people. They don't get any respect or attention. They aren't even recognized by society for their sacrifices. Men are great and will always be so.

India is a strange country. If you are poor you get free ration. If you are rich you save tax. If you are a politician you get power. If you are a government officer you get authority. If you are middle class You pay for everything and still stand in line for everything. Taxpayer in India is not treated like a customer. He is treated like an ATM.

CORRUPT OFFICIALS FAIL IN THEIR DUTY. SC MAKES DOGS PAY THE PRICE There, the headline, SC started the suo moto with, is corrected. ABC guidelines first came out in 2001, supporting neutering and vaccination of dogs; long term aim of reducing population and controlling rabies. Why were the rules framed? Because, the rise in population of stray and community dogs was visible and action was needed to control in scientific and humane manner. Were the rules obeyed? No, for the last 25 years, thousands of crores were pumped and a vast majority of municipalities and government bodies gobbled the funds and nothing was done. No neutering. Best example of corruption and no work is MCD (Delhi). Even today, ABC centers in Delhi are in a pathetic inhuman situation and always were. Starved dogs lying in their own feces, testicles lying around, you won’t be able to see it. Check videos on Rohini Shelter. All the money sanctioned was eaten away. Very very few municipalities did obey and and those who did, achieved some good results. So who neutered dogs over years? Individual Animal lovers, at their own cost and time, neutered dogs and cats in their area. Why did dog population rise? Because of this corruption of authorities not doing neutering over last 25 years! Had they done their job, the population would have been under control. Also, due to massive construction boom in first 20 years of 2000 contributed to rise. Residential society dogs tend to get neutered by animal lovers and feeders. But dogs in under construction buildings don’t get neutered (the labourers do feed them, but there is no one to take responsibility of neutering). With the result, after buildings complete and residents come to stay, dogs who were born there are always there and residents want to throw them out. Security is instructed to use sticks, some use stones as well and all are harsh to dogs and beat dogs round the clock. Feeding is prohibited, so dogs starve, looking for food. This results in dogs becoming protective (they think everyone is out to beat them) and tend to bite more. Had the residents, who shifted to new buildings, tackled it with compassion, let dogs sit near security and be fed regularly, such incidents would not have happened and the dogs could have been easily neutered. But HATE was selected over COMPASSION. Due to ‘ENTITLEMENT ’. “I brought this flat for crores! I don’t want this f***ing dog here”. Mind you, the dogs were born in the same building. So this increase in population and hate towards dogs has resulted in increase human dog conflict, with increase bites. What did Supreme Court do? Instead of calling out and holding authorities responsible for not having done anything in last 25 years; in the first hearing, Mr. Pardiwala, personally overruled Article 51G of Constitution (No Law, Just Act) and put dogs in jail, by saying to shift all 3 Lakh dogs of Delhi into shelters! Delhi did not have even one shelter then (ABC centres are not shelters). One shelter, with interntional norms, will need 5 to 10 acres and can have 200 to 250 dogs. Can you judge how many shelters will 3 Lakh dogs need? The cost of land, the building? The running cost? And where is the land? When there was backlash, the SC finally said MCD has not done its job. That’s it. No questions, no punishments. And when the panel was changed, the new panel (Mr. Mehta, Mr. Nath) wanted all dogs ALL OVER INDIA from all government Centres, all schools, all hospitals, all stations to be shifted to shelters! Probably a few crore dogs! Can you imagine the cost!! And where is the land? Do the judges even think about this? Especially, in most Centres, hospitals, stations, dogs are calm and usually sit and are taken care of, hardly any bites. For example, in whole of Mumbai Suburban stations, not a single bite has happened inside of stations. Lakhs of commuters travel daily. So SC has made the dogs pay the price for incompetency and corruption of authorities.
