@tarunsmehta Hi Tarun, we do indeed cover this as a core part of 10xAcademy (xto10x.com/10xacademy/). Very happy to cover startup org design as a stand-alone session if there are a decent number of founders interested. Don't want to inflict another zoom webinar on people without demand :)

Somebody start a course on org design for startups. Everybody goes through the same learning by stumbling curves and literally nothing that you have ever learned helps.

@kunalb11 @xto10x Hi Kunal, what is particularly creditable in your case is keeping CRED's ENPS score >60, even as the team strength went from ~100 to ~300. On average, ENPS is lower by 20 points for companies >150 team members. Please share what you do! All - learn more at xto10x.com/10xpeople/

Last few years we have measuring team NPS at CRED via @xto10x and have scored between 61-65 consistently. We’ve been told we are top 2 or 3 companies amongst 30-35 Series B+ orgs tested. keen to surpass 70 but harder with remote teams. Is team NPS measured in your company?

@kunalb11 @Freecharge @govindprajan Absolutely shocked to hear this. Keep seeing Govind's smiling face. He never ever refused to do what he could to help. Can see he had this impact on so many people. May his wonderful soul rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

A few hours ago, ex-CEO of @Freecharge and a friend @govindprajan suddenly passed away without any history of illness at a young age. It’s hard to process this loss as it’s so hard to believe someone who was so full of life to be no more just like that. Life is fragile.

@kunalb11 The bad news first: 90% struggle (this is based on first-hand conversations with maybe 50 startup founders). The good news - there's a lot of data/ insight on why this happens and what you need to do to get it right. For more of that, you know where to reach me Kunal :)

@abhishek_n Even we (as human beings) are far from perfect, so it's not fair to expect startups to be. But intent makes all the difference. Having great growth and bad culture despite trying your best is one thing; accepting it as inevitable quite another.

Every successful startup you admire is screwed up in some way. A lot of funding, but no PM fit. Fast growing revenue but bad culture. Reputed co-founders, but terrible leaders. Great culture, but no career growth. Absolutely nobody has it perfect.

@rupeekapp is certainly a startup to watch and @sumitmaniyar is a founder to watch - both solid gold. Already 10x in the past year and am sure many more 10xs ahead of them!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Any guesses what this one means? (Compiled by the @xto10x 10xPeople team from ~20,000 responses across more than 30 startups)

...(3/3) Get started: 1. Have conversations. Listen. Keep your eyes and ears open. 2. Write down the principles you hear and believe in. Convert these into practices. 3. Reinforce the principles every opportunity that you get! 4. Help your managers be effective coaches

...culture takeaways (2/3) Some basic principles: 1. Ask yourself the question “What do I want my company to be?”. The simple answer to this question is where it begins. 2. Do what you expect from others. 3. Do for others what you would expect for yourself.

My takeaways (1/3) from @xto10x People Story webinar with @NaveenTewari, Vijay & Abhishek yesterday. Fundamentals: 1. Culture is not an HR problem 2. If you’re the founder, it starts with you 3. Don’t expect a process (copied from someone else) to create a great culture for you

...and some advice on how to get started on the culture journey: 1. Make sure you really care 2. Ask successful team members what made them successful (and codify it) 3. Make it real (e.g., customer meetings in hiring, part of performance appraisal, storytelling in all hands)

Powerful conversation with @kunalb11 and @viditaatrey yesterday on values and culture. Three things stayed with me: 1. A game of (long) snakes & (short) ladders 2. The behaviour you want when no one is looking 3. Your values are yours (not a playbook you copy-paste from Amazon!)
