@IGGUganda has arrested Ms. Atim Mega, a senior Agricultural Engineer of Apac District Local Government for allegedly uttering a false document.
Ms. Atim recorded a statement today at the IG Lira Regional Office and will appear before court in Apac district on 26th, May, 2026.
According to investigations, in May 2024 Ms. Atim applied for the post of Senior Agricultural Engineer with Apac District Local Government and was appointed.
However, the appointment letter as Agricultural Engineer dated 3rd February, 2020, from Itek-Okille Farmers’ Cooperative Society which she submitted as part of her work experience and the basis upon which she was appointed, was disowned by the leadership of the Institution and declared a forgery as she has never worked with them.
Section 328, of the Penal Code Act CAP 128, states that: “Any person who knowingly and fraudulently utters a false document commits an offence of the same kind and is liable to the same punishment as if she had forged the thing in question”.

UPDATE: Police car carriers have towed two of Anita Among’s Land Cruisers from her Nakasero home to an unknown destination.
Reports also indicate that the Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) has frozen access to her bank accounts as investigations into alleged corruption and abuse of office intensify.

STATEMENT ON A FATAL ROAD TRAFFIC CRASH AT SUUKA ALONG THE KAYUNGA–JINJA ROAD IN KAYUNGA DISTRICT
A serious road traffic crash that later turned fatal was registered at Suuka along the Kayunga–Jinja Road in Kayunga District on the night of 17 May 2026 at approximately 21:00 PM.
The crash involved vehicle number UG 0101 151, a Toyota Hilux & an unidentified motorcycle.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of the Toyota Hilux was travelling from Kayunga towards Jinja. Upon reaching Suuka near the Lake Oil Petrol Station, the vehicle collided with an unidentified motorcyclist who was joining the main road. As a result of the collision the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which overturned several times.
3 passengers sustained injuries in the crash including Mr. Kalangwa Kalisa Moses who suffered critical injuries. The victims were rushed to Kayunga Regional Referral Hospital for medical attention. Mr. Kalangwa was later referred to Nakasero Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigations into the exact cause of the crash are ongoing.

VIDEO: A rare rear view of a section of outgoing Parliament Speaker Anita Among’s sprawling residence in Kigo, where detectives and joint security operatives continue with investigations.
Information gathered indicates the property has separate basement levels — one designated for parking, while another lower basement reportedly contains a gym, sauna and cinema hall.
The footage zooms in on investigators and security personnel moving within parts of the facility during the ongoing operation.
Visible on the first floor is a red-carpeted guest reception area leading to what sources described as Among’s office space, while a third-floor section is said to have restricted access reserved exclusively for her, according to one worker at the site who requested anonymity. The residence is also fitted with an internal lift system.
Beyond the main compound, the property includes an additional newly developed section that, as of May 17, was being leveled ahead of planned beautification works. It is further alleged that a Rolls-Royce linked to the politician is parked within that section, although this could not be independently verified.

The drivers were reported by concerned road users & later identified through CCTV footage captured at Kyabakuza, Kijabwemi Roundabout, Nsenene Stage, and the Masaka Welcome Roundabout. They were allegedly seen overtaking dangerously & competing against one another on the road, actions that exposed other motorists to potential crashes. The suspects were later intercepted at the Kadugala checkpoint & are currently detained pending court proceedings. Motorists are urged to observe responsible driving to protect lives & promote road safety.

Some things are about basic common sense, not even political wisdom. Your bosses, who must be having a lot more, hardly display their wealth. Only those who have visited their homes know how their houses look like. It is 40 years now, but many of us have no idea how Museveni’s house looks like. Even when you search the internet, you hardly find one clear picture. They only show their local cows as their wealth. They move around in one colour of shirt all year, or only in military uniforms - not conspicuous designer clothes. We don’t know any private car of theirs. And you come in splashing posh cars, buildings, expensive designer clothes … Do you even think?

Traffic police is full of thieves masquerading in uniforms.
Someone intentionally creates a false case against you even when you clearly observed the traffic lights. They chase after you, force you to stop, then falsely accuse you of jumping the lights.
This has just happened to me at the Mulago - Kalerwe traffic lights. A traffic officer rode after me, stopped me, and accused me of not obeying the lights, yet I clearly did.
I refused to accept a crime I didn’t commit, but because he holds the power in his hands (the machine) he still issued me a UGX 200,000 ticket.
No wonder some of them can’t progress or build anything meaningful for themselves. Rubbish🚮
