Gee I hope this is implemented correctly. My wife’s cross country flight was delayed over 12 hours a few weeks ago. She wanted to get home, not get a refund and have to start over with booking same day. (More expensive and if everyone does it, difficult) I’d prefer airlines stop overbooking and stop with the delays. (Better preventative maintenance and planning).

As of this week, Americans will get automatic refunds if their flights are altered because of a cancellation or significant delay. That’s a big deal for folks who will be flying to visit loved ones this holiday season.
