It is inconceivable that sanctuary politicians like @JBPritzker continue to allow criminal illegal aliens to roam freely on our streets and violently murder our innocent citizens. 18-year-old Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman was shot and killed by Jose Medina-Medina, a Venezuelan criminal illegal alien, on Thursday morning around 1:00 am while she was walking in a park with friends. Medina-Medina is accused of approaching her while wearing a mask and armed with a gun. As she attempted to flee, he fired his gun and shot her. Gorman was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. @ICEgov has lodged an arrest detainer asking @JBPritzker and Chicago Sanctuary Politicians to Not Release Medina-Medina. dhs.gov/news/2026/03/2…

This appears to be Laken Riley 2.0. Yet another Venezuelan illegal alien allowed into the country by the Biden administration, then released again by a sanctuary jurisdiction on a shoplifting arrest, now accused of murdering an innocent young American college student.
Bill Melugin@BillMelugin_

BREAKING: DHS confirms that the suspect in custody for murdering Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman in Chicago is a Venezuelan illegal alien who was caught & released at the border by the Biden administration in May 2023. DHS says he was also released from local custody after a shoplifting arrest in the sanctuary city of Chicago on June 19, 2023. DHS identifies the suspect as Venezuelan national Jose Medina-Medina. Medina-Medina is accused of approaching Gorman while she was walking in a park with friends early Thursday morning. DHS says Medina-Medina came up to her while wearing a mask and armed with a gun. As she attempted to flee, he fired his gun and shot her. Gorman was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. DHS statement: “Sheridan Gorman had her whole life ahead of her before this cold-blooded killer decided to end her life. She was failed by open border policies and sanctuary politicians who RELEASED this illegal alien TWICE before he went on to commit this heinous murder,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “We are calling on Governor Pritzker and Chicago’s sanctuary politicians to commit to not releasing this criminal illegal alien from jail back into American neighborhoods.”

@JonathanTurley He should be recognized/honored. For a person to serve that honorably then allow himself to be connected to the Russia/Trump fiasco leaves one to wonder. He was either not as honorable as everyone thought or in late stages of his life was taken advantage of by Dems as was Biden

...Ann and his whole family deserve the thanks of a nation for his (and their) sacrifice through the years. From his decorated service in Vietnam to his many high-ranking positions in our government, Robert Mueller always stepped forward when his nation needed him. Rest in peace, Robert.

The passing of Robert Mueller marks the end of a life of public service to his country, a career of great distinction and patriotism. While I did not always agree with Mueller, he stood the watch when this nation was attacked on 9-11 and answered every call from this nation...

It’s a generous idea on the surface, but this isn’t as simple as “I’ll pay their salaries.” TSA employees are federal workers, there are legal, administrative, and security structures in place that don’t allow private individuals to just step in and fund government payroll like that. It would require approvals, coordination, and a clear framework to even be possible. So the real question is: is this a practical solution being worked out behind the scenes, or just a well-timed statement during a funding crisis? Because the difference between intention and execution here is massive.

I have just spoken with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian. I called on him to put an immediate end to the unacceptable attacks Iran is carrying out against countries in the region, whether directly or through proxies, including in Lebanon and Iraq. I reminded him that France is acting within a strictly defensive framework aimed at protecting its interests, its regional partners, and freedom of navigation, and that it is unacceptable for our country to be targeted. The unchecked escalation we are witnessing is plunging the entire region into chaos, with major consequences today and for the years to come. The people of Iran, like those across the region, are paying the price. Only a new political and security framework can ensure peace and security for all. Such a framework must guarantee that Iran never acquires nuclear weapons, while also addressing the threats posed by its ballistic missile programme and its destabilising activities regionally and internationally. Freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz must be restored as soon as possible. I also urged the Iranian President to allow Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris to return safely to France as soon as possible. Their ordeal has gone on for far too long, and they belong with their loved ones.

As expected. And @JohnCornyn needs to win because (1) he’s a great senator, (2) a strong supporter of @POTUS and (3) a lay-up win in a must-win race. AG Paxton could lose this seat and with it the @SenateGOP majority. If that majority is lost, not one Trump nominee for the bench much less a SCOTUS nominee will advance to the floor for a vote and President Trump will be fighting off both chambers for two years. Be smart, Texas Republicans.
Dave Wasserman@Redistrict

I've seen enough: Sen. John Cornyn (R) and Ken Paxton (R) advance to a GOP runoff in #TXSEN.

Trump ripped up the Iran nuclear deal and created this mess. Now, he's putting servicemembers in harm's way with no clear plan and no Congressional approval. The American people deserve answers — and Congress needs to do its job.

@DonnyDeutsch I agree with you on almost nothing politically, but I think you’re a pretty smart guy. I can’t believe you don’t realize they aren’t protesting what took place, they are paid protesters, they are protesting Trump. Any other President and they wouldn’t be protesting at all.

There is a small group of Republican members who are discussing a war powers resolution to try to stop the further prosecution of the war against Iran. foxnews.com/politics/bipar… This would seek to cut authority before the default 60-day period...

The criticisms directed at the tone-deaf, immature, willfully underinformed, priviliged U.S. men's hockey team are earned and justified. It's called accountability. They acted like spoiled jackasses, and are being treated as such. Accountability. #NHL thestar.com/sports/nhl/the…
