When I was Acting U.S. Attorney for Minnesota, our office prosecuted cases against members of the Boogaloo Boys and Sovereign Citizens, extremist groups that sought to stoke violence and fear amid the civil unrest following George Floyd’s murder. These were complicated, high-profile cases that required partnership and collaboration across local, state, and federal law enforcement to succeed and hold the perpetrators accountable.
