Ghana just helped pass a UN resolution demanding reparations from the West for the slave trade.
I think we are fighting the wrong battle.
My full argument — including the part nobody wants to say out loud. 👇

@gyaigyimii Man is a complete loser…
She doesn’t love him, and certainly doesn’t respect him.
She will walk all over him for the rest of this ‘marriage’ until he LEAVES.

@daddyhope It is telling isn’t it that you ur expectations of rationality and reason could not be expected from the USA…. Not Russia and certainly not Iran.
English

The recklessness of such statements lies in this simple reality, what if the other side responds in exactly the same way against America? War is not always conventional, and once you normalise targeting civilian infrastructure like power plants and bridges, you open the door for reciprocal action.
This is why countries must be led by rational people, not reckless figures like Donald Trump. You cannot threaten to bomb critical infrastructure and expect immunity from the same tactics. What happens when those actions are mirrored back?
Does it suddenly stop being terrorism simply because you are the one carrying it out, or is it still terrorism when the consequences come home?

@kwasi_attah_ Ofcos you can…
But like I said generalizing leads to stereotyping… and therein lies my concern.
English

Criticism of religion or any ideology is fair game as with everything else in an open discourse.
But broad generalizations aren’t.
I’ve noticed you often frame Islam as inherently a religion of violence and use very uncharitable language about The Prophet. That paints all 2 billion Muslims (roughly 24% of humanity) with the same brush, based on the actions and words of some. That’s the kind of group narrative that’s unfair and unhelpful.
Human history is soaked in warfare and violence across every civilization and faith… Christians, atheists, pagans, everyone. Take one of the West’s most enlightened and favored philosophers: Marcus Aurelius. As Roman emperor, he led wars that killed hundreds of thousands. Does that make him (or Stoicism) inherently evil? No. His ‘Meditations’ remains a profound manual for life, wisdom, and resilience that many still cherish today.
We can and should criticize dangerous ideas, extremism, and bad actors wherever they appear including Islamist terrorism or any theocratic overreach.
But let’s stay precise and avoid lumping entire populations together. We ought to be guarded in our words and be guided by fairness.
Salaam Alaikum 🤝

@FantasyWorldW1 That guy almost killed Cleagane. I doubt Jamie would even come close to that.

Humans are greedy every where. We will cut corners to maximize profits.
The real question should be regulation, or lack of it.
Foodstuff leave farms and get to our dining tables without a single regulation or inspection on the process.
Food vendors where majority of Ghanaians buy food are also unregulated, unlicensed etc.. and we don’t know where they get their food stuff. Some use rotten ford stuff, add literal filth (in the name of juju) and sell to their patrons.
Who is checking where they prepare their food, where they source their stuff, whether they are medically cleared for cooking , etc
And then there is the issue of standardization. In Accra 5ghs Kenkey varies in size from seller to seller. Nothing is sold to scale in Ghana. It’s all discretionary.
So why won’t people get greedy?
Do you know Kenkey in London is regulated and standardized in size and price? Packaging and labeling all, else they will shut you down.
But not Ghana.
Sorry for the long post 😎

This is why I mostly blame our entire culture, not just politicians. The same rot runs through everything. Our culture breeds greed and wickedness. Poisoning palm oil with Sudan dyes. And it is not just palm oil, almost everything edible is likely compromised 😢

@Basedteller74 @CGWorsham @isaiahrmartin I guess their continued support for terrorist organizations like Hamas leading to October 7, was also because of Trump?
English

@CGWorsham @salim_ango @isaiahrmartin They had a limit on how much that was monitored by several countries and they started spiking the levels once Trump broke the deal.

Wow, so the news this morning says that Trump is about to give $20B in unfrozen funds to Iran in exchange for their enriched uranium! THEY FLEECED HIM! That’s more than 10X what was unfrozen under Obama. TEN TIMES THE AMOUNT. And that’s not even including the billions of $ he’s spent on this war. If only this low-IQ invalid would have stayed in Obama’s brilliant deal, none of this would have happened, and we would have saved billions. IN TRUMP’S OWN WORDS, PALLETS OF CASH ARE HEADING TO IRAN!
