Prediction: Utility-class CSS (aka Tailwind) is dead in the water. AI is completely capable of writing and maintaining real, well-factored componentized stylesheets. The mass return to semantic CSS is inevitable. I for one am breathing a sigh of relief at the prospect of readable view templates again.

If you're a Minecraft Java player, what would it take bedrock to do for you to even consider playing bedrock full time?

@wesbos These are great features from apple that they should just force on app developers. It will make using all of these apps feel more integrated and that’s a great thing for apple.

@wesbos While I’m at it Every app that has multiple account support on iOs should implement the focus profile based accounts Reddit x youtube teams … This would make it way safer to shift into work, personal or child mode Why is Pinterest the only app that supports this?

If you're looking into switching the time remaining and time elapsed on a video, you can tap on the timestamp display of the video player to toggle between the two. More info on the video progress bar here: goo.gle/4bxLKsi Also, we're all ears to know more about your thoughts & suggestions about this. You can send them via the Send feedback tool: goo.gle/4boQQqm

@YouTube on iOS has started to show me how much time is left instead of how far along I already am. This breaks how I perceive every timestamp in the comments and description of videos. Is there a possibility to unify these? Like translating the timestamps to time left too

@wesbos @QuentinMerabet At the risk of seeming pedantic, but for the sake of teaching using the correct terminology: It should be “I remember my dev server/build erroring anytime I did a dom event like onClick inside a react server component.” Thanks for sharing though, also news to me 🙌🏼

@QuentinMerabet I know how server functions work, but I remember my entire app erroring anytime I did a dom event like onClick inside a server function. You could always do onSubmit, but form actions isn't what I'm referring to here

Some guy on reddit figured out that you can now use DOM events like onClick onHover _in a react server component_ no client component required I can't find any docs on this. When was this introduced? Confirmed it works on my Waku site

@housecor Example of bad semantics is to apply a specific font size to h2, h3, … Better to use a named “title, subtitle,…” and applying these on the correct heading element in the current document

@housecor I use apply to compose multiple properties into a new utility & to style an external component that only provides a list of classnames to target. Applying generic styles to default html elements pushes the use of non-semantic elements.

When using Tailwind, how do you decide when to use apply vs putting styles in a component? My take? I use apply for simple global styles like h1, p, section. I use components for anything that might benefit from behavior or hard-coding certain props.

Dear @googlemaps Come on, you can realise when I’m on a train. They travel along train tracks. You know where the trains are. You know other people are doing nearly identical journeys. Say “Are you on this train” and allow me to plan routes from there.

@wesbos If @adamwathan can embed tailwind, I’d bet on him, just because it’s so much faster to write. A public competition after this one would be very cool.

Hey @Railway I want to move my hobby projects (no revenue) from vercel to railway, currently I have 22 projects spread over 12 domain names. Does that mean I have to go for the pro tier?

Looking at all of the other things included, this feels like overkill. So I’m just checking if there’s something I’m missing.
