@zeddotdev there’s a huge demand for pull request tools inside of Zed. In 2026, this has become even more important as the job has quickly become reviewing code AI agents produce. It’s super important to have really good code review tools in an IDE

@GergelyOrosz Stacked diffs in 2026 is very relevant when the job now is reviewing output from coding agents. It’s the difference between reviewable changes and LGTM on 2000+lines of code

Better late than never, but stacked diffs feels like it was relevant pre-2024/2025 for eng teams big on using AI: before AI agents became big, and started to generate large code changes. I'd go as far to say that stacked diffs make most sense when writing a lot of code by hand

@jackharrhyisme @mitchellhynes Interesting that you use Zed as your non AI editor. I’ve mostly been using Zed as my goto editor now and have cursor deleted recently due to the new parallel agents feature with Claude Code / OpenCode ACP there. I've not missed cursor since.

@sam_ayo__ @mitchellhynes Zed is my goto non-AI editor, if I'm using my terminal tool of choice OpenCode, and I want to dive into the code in a more 'normal' editor, I prefer Zed! Cursor proper is still good, I actually do kinda like the new UI for just agent vibing personally

Cursor's new UI is over is just pissing me off now. Editor is broken, the review button is broken, the changed files view is useless... Old UI just worked

That's why I'm building an AI native workout logger that's notes first. Built from the ground up for people who think in free text, not form fields.

But, it's 2026 and we have really powerful LLMs. A user can type "Bench press 225lb 10x3sets" and the model knows exactly what that is. No dropdowns, no form fields.

I've started building a workout tracking app. Yeah yeah, not another gym app. There's a reason though.
