Besides continuous issuance at our Kawempe office, our teams have often organized outreaches. Last Saturday, they were at St. Paul Primary School in Kyebando. Thank you

@UmemeLtd I had assumed that Umeme being a responsible institution would be restoring power to St Maximus area Kiwanga Seeta which disappeared since yesterday. As I write no such power has been restored. Could IhaveI placed my trust in the wrong people?

Mabaati thief, also queen of bleachers–@AnitahAmong–is arming civilians. 1) Mark Odong of SIU, his wife, Retired Corporal Peace Mary. 2) Okwaringa Deo, former bodyguard of @RebeccaKadagaUG. He had been deployed by mabaati thief to spy on the former speaker and later retired. 3) Ocen Richard, formerly a bodyguard of Late @JacobOulanyah. These three were retired by the authorities and later deployed at parliament as door keepers in the office of sergeant at arms. Months ago, the DPC at parliament, Okoto Charles Patrick, the goon who was in charge of all the violence in Bukedea by-election but later appreciated and appointed at parliament by @AnitahAmong, illegally armed these three and are now not doing the jobs for which they were hired. Peace Mary is in charge of the speaker’s twins. The other two are among her personal security. They are holding government firearms yet were retired and deployed to carry out a different job description. @AAgather @SpireJim @GodwinTOKO #UgandaParliamentExhibition

@Airtel_Ug Yesterday, I was able to have my MTN number verified without any hassle. Their biometric machine was able to quickly read my thumbprint. The situation at Airtel has extemely been disappointing. Their biometric machines I think are obsolete. They are unable to read my thumbprint

@Airtel_Ug The other day, I went to Airtel service center Lugogo to have my sim validated. Unfortunately my thumb print failed to match with the one on ID. The ladies at the center did their best but to no avail. I have now removed the airtel number from all my documents.

@KagutaMuseveni @BartNsubuga @uk_nup @PAULKAZIBAC How much is statehouse budget and what is it used for? The annual statehouse budget is inflated and can be used to build world class hospitals but your interest is using it to patronise Ugandans and buy yourself oversized clothes. Today I’ll not call you a pair of buttocks.

I have noted the hostile messages from @BartNsubuga, @uk_nup, and @PAULKAZIBAC . Nsubuga wondered why I still talk about wealth creation, having depended on the national purse for 40 years. Ndugu Nsubuga, the two pieces of muhogo (otushate), some peas, some kalo, two hundred grammes of meat three times a week and 3 cups of milk coffee in a day, plus the little amounts of food Maama takes each day, can all be easily got from our farms at Ntungamo, Rwakyitura, Kisozi, etc. Nobody in my family ever worked for the government until 1965, when I worked as a licensed teacher at Bweranyangyi Senior Secondary School, the year it started. In the last 63 years I have been involved in African Resistance, I have got very little personal benefit that I could not get privately, provided there was peace in Uganda.

I join the people of Kenya in mourning the passing of Prof Micere Mugo, a celebrated Kenyan scholar, teacher and activist and to celebrate her many wonderful achievement for which she is rightly recognised as an iconic trailblazer and inspirational pioneer. Prof. Mugo set the bar high in championing socially involved and politically conscious scholarship, which extended the struggle for freedom and sovereignty to the academy, ensuring that Kenya's African majority were seen and heard where it mattered. Her struggle called for extraordinary courage in confronting entrenched hegemonic practices and ideologies, which served the purpose of anchoring the reactionary strategies of the postcolonial power establishment. Prof Mugo undertook her agitation with fierce determination, unshakeable courage, captivating imagination and boundless grace. In so doing, she paved the way for many generations of Kenyan intellectuals and freedom fighters, including many women academic, civil society, political and corporate leaders to pursue and achieve true equality in every sector of national endeavour. The progress we have achieved in social justice, inclusion and gender equality is due, to a considerable degree, to the selfless commitment and brave sacrifices of extraordinarily individuals like Prof Mugo. I encourage Kenyans to honour her legacy by doing their part in ensuring that we see in our freedom countless opportunities to make this country great.

There is no justification for any province of the Anglican Communion to support the criminalisation of LGBTQ people: not in our resolutions, our teachings, or the Gospel we share. After writing to the Primate of Uganda, I make the following statement: bit.ly/43tFWKN
