@fizzlekelly You probably already know ‘O Magnum Mysterium’ by Lauridsen too. It toes the line of ‘is this a bit of an Eric Whitacre knockoff but perhaps marginally less cheesy’ but I think comes down just the right side of that line…

@DaveHamilton @EricBradley speaks the truth on Mainstage and you can import your Logic channel strips to get you going. Pretty intuitive BUT there is a learning curve creating visual objects and linking them to mixer/plugin parameters. It's a nice geek challenge for when you have time though!

@samcoates Thanks! That makes sense. A little more convoluted than I hoped for, but probably the best option. Would MainStage have to be routed the same way? I’m very comfy with Logic, but have yet to use MS.

I have a stupid question: is there a way to record *only* the “live” (stereo) mix with Logic Pro X? I know. It sounds stupid. And it probably is. But I ask regardless. If not with Logic, would MainStage let me do this?

@DaveHamilton 1. Route everything that’s routed to Stereo to a Bus. Use the same bus as the input to a stereo audio channel (muted) 2. Just hit record on everything and all in touch mode. This will record any automation on the fly fly. At the end, if you liked it, bounce, if not, remix!

@stgeorgeprimary Thank you! It’s such an interesting language. I was thinking of trying to learn it whilst we have some more time, but thought that I should probably try and work on my French that’s halfway there first! I spy lots of wonderful work from St G’s as usual 😊
