Insane story...
Some guy tried to buy $50M of $AAVE on his phone, like 3% of the total supply, tapped through <INSANE SLIPPAGE AHEAD> warnings, ended up with only $40K of AAVE. Block builder made off with ~$40M, Aave refunds $600K of fees.
Net result, AAVE token is down. 💀

Earlier today, a user attempted to buy AAVE using $50M USDT through the Aave interface. Given the unusually large size of the single order, the Aave interface, like most trading interfaces, warned the user about extraordinary slippage and required confirmation via a checkbox. The user confirmed the warning on their mobile device and proceeded with the swap, accepting the high slippage, which ultimately resulted in receiving only 324 AAVE in return. The transaction could not be moved forward without the user explicitly accepting the risk through the confirmation checkbox. The CoW Swap routers functioned as intended, and the integration followed standard industry practices. However, while the user was able to proceed with the swap, the final outcome was clearly far from optimal. Events like this do occur in DeFi, but the scale of this transaction was significantly larger than what is typically seen in the space. We sympathize with the user and will try to make a contact with the user and we will return $600K in fees collected from the transaction. The key takeaway is that while DeFi should remain open and permissionless, allowing users to perform transactions freely, there are additional guardrails the industry can build to better protect users. Our team will be investigating ways to improve these safeguards going forward.

Cristhian Mosquera links make a lot of sense. With Tomiyasu injured, the one role we need is a Saliba backup at RCB. Someone who can be the backline aggressor/leader that Gabriel is but from RCB. Defend wide channels, dominate ground duels. This is why I want Jérémy Jacquet.

@Jonas_ALA @GMX_IO My understanding was that the exploiter didn't return the profit from the price apprecition? GLP by definition, as a basket of tokens, fluctuated with the market so being made whole isn't a dollar amount but rather repayment of the tokens lost.

We’re already short in attack and Gabriel Jesus is always struggling for injuries and Trossard is a reliable player. Also was a key player in the 2nd half of the season last season.

Bruh, you couldn’t have bid this a week ago?! Terrible timing but a very tempting bid. I love Trossard, a quality signing but for the stage he’s at, the window of opportunity to sell him for good money is very small now. If the window was open, I’d accept this and replace him.

still hard to call tops on market here though, i could see a world where solbtc has topped because money starts finally rotating into eth albeit taking that view has been legit mental illness all cycle.
