I'm not all that interested in future church trends or new growth techniques. For 2000 years, the most relevant church has always been the one gathering around a table, caring for the neighborhood, following the words and ways of Jesus.

We used to highlight the Deir Yassin massacre which took place in the Nakba. Every day today in Gaza is another Deir Yassin, where hundreds are killed, even starved to death. The Palestinian Nakba is an ongoing event.

For too many Pastors their emotional stability is married to the Church—when their church is growing, they feel successful, when their church is stagnet, they feel like a failure. We must find ourselves hidden in Christ, not on the roller coaster of our competency.
