Can confirm all three amphibs are rolling w/ the ARG. Photos of Tripoli's flight deck show a typical Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron NOT a bunch of F-35s. news.usni.org/2026/03/18/3-s…

If Tripoli is going on its own, maybe it's the return of the 'lighting carrier' where the big deck is optimized to fly more than a dozen F-35Bs. Between Ford and Lincoln, there's one squadron of 5th Gen fighters. This would add another squadron's worth. No official word, though.

@baronhobo @ManOnDaNet @USAFCENT @USMARCENT The Navy and Marines drilled the lightning carrier experiment in the 2022 Valiant Shield as an adjunct capability to the CSG. It was essentially a way to add more tails w/o a second carrier under the IAMD umbrella of the strike group. They had a photo with 20 35Bs in Tripoli.

That’s one of a dozen plus court martials I’ve covered where my colleagues and I did our level best to understand the circumstances of a particular case but that knot hole in the fence was real small to see the whole picture.
