This is EVEN better 🏊♂️
Remember the fella who jumped in the water at the #RyderCup on the 16th hole?
Well, this is what happened next… 👇🏻🏆😂

@matthew_parry1 @WillKentSPORT @DPWorldTour Its become common recently because they stopped hosting it in England almost every year. That’s what changed.
It’s not odd because golf is still nascent in Europe relative to Scotland, England and Ireland. E.g. - If it’s held in France in 2031, we’ll likely be in a similar situ
English

@samstumac @WillKentSPORT @DPWorldTour Golf is big across all of Europe yet no representation of the home nation has only become common very recently, which is odd.
The GB&I vs EU thing is separate, still many EU members in each team since 79.
Your sole intention was to undermine my tweet. Absolutely pointless 🤷🏻♂️
English

@matthew_parry1 @WillKentSPORT @DPWorldTour So, now your point is that GB&I still reigns supreme when it comes to golfing talent?
I agree.
Shame that you couldn’t go a couple of replies into a discussion without digging up the clichéd ‘I bet you’re fun at parties’ line, though.
English

@samstumac @WillKentSPORT @DPWorldTour In the 22 Ryder Cups since Continental European players were allowed, they have only ever outnumbered the British and Irish players in the European team once.
That was Valderrama in 1997 - 7 Europeans to 5 GB&I.
English

@matthew_parry1 @WillKentSPORT @DPWorldTour It’s only unusual because they changed from playing the event in GB&I every year for 80 years.
English

@samstumac @WillKentSPORT @DPWorldTour It’s more than that, though. It’s only ever been played in Spain, France and now Italy outside of GB&I.
In the Ryder Cup we’ve seen 11 different Spaniards, 3 Italians and 3 Frenchmen. 12 major championships have come from those places.
It’s unusual not to see them represented.
English

@WillKentSPORT @matthew_parry1 @DPWorldTour Because it was played in England for about 99.9% of those European fixtures over the past 80 years. This is a trend you’ll continue to see unless hosting the event really #growsthegame in every country it’s held.
English

@CPowers14 Sorry, Chris. This is a shite take. That signal meant ‘DEAD’ before your country even existed.
English

@LouStagner I don’t disagree but a big difference is the chance of finding it if you’re a pro versus an amateur. Without a spotter, that ball is GONE. These misses hurt amateurs more.
English

Big misses are going to happen. They happen to everyone.
I hear some amateur golfers say:
"I should NEVER miss a fairway by a large amount."
Take a look at the image below. Rory is 50 yards left of the left edge of the fairway. That is a big miss.
Of course we all want to reduce how often we miss big. One of the biggest keys to getting better is reducing the number of horrible shots you hit.
But big misses still happen. Even to Rory, who is arguably the best player to ever swing the driver.
What can you do?
It's over. You can't change it. When I do this I perform breathing exercises while walking to the ball. Box breathing is typically what I do.
Then:
1. Find the ball
2. Pick a good target for the next shot
3. Commit to the target
4. Hit the shot
5. Go back to step 1

Playing with babies that aren’t yours— very fun but also a very effective form of contraception. JT gotta be the happiest man in America being able to say goodbye to those kids and go drill wedges on the range for 2 hours without a hint of guilt.

A family affair 🥰 Maya Fowler and Sammy Spieth joined Rickie, Jordan and Justin on the 18th green after their practice round.

@TronCarterNLU @BigRandyNLU I do get what Big’s saying, though. He’s parading , and being paraded, around as though he’s not an exceptional golfer. It’s an incredible feat but let’s be frank, he’s no - as big put it - a ‘make a wish kid’.

@jamesduckett @practicalgolf Batters me every time. I don’t know how you could play it every week

I am headed to Scotland for an epic trip tomorrow night and I am SO excited!!!
Prepared for rain, cold, and wind!
Thanks to @ZRGear for stocking me up.
I’ve been wearing their stuff for years and think it’s the best outerwear.

Jon Rahm said during his appearance on yesterday’s CBS broadcast that he’s “addicted to the game.” He sat and talked with them about the game and analyzing shots for over half an hour. When he came out to do the rest of his media, he had a huge smile on his face and said “I could’ve done that all day”. Jon is just like us at the end of the day, a golf sicko.

Talk about picking the right tool for the job! What a way to speed things up, amirite?
This is turning into a fascinating leaderboard. Mules, thoroughbreds, Clydesdales, mini-ponies all co-mingling. Team Rose, Big Tex Jimmy Walker, etc. Its a smorgasbord.

@GolfDigest Definitely an ace, because you’ll still have a ‘best round of your life’ at some point.

@TronCarterNLU @mrewanmurray The @NoLayingUp boys definitely know how to run something into the ground…. Move on already!

@TheBearStee @BrendanPorath This isn’t a narrative. Going to LIV doesn’t suddenly make someone a bad golfer and I don’t believe anyone with half a brain believes that.
English

@BrendanPorath I guess this puts to bed the narrative of LIV golfers being less than PGA players. Several of them on the leaderboard.
