Time and again, we’ve seen individuals receiving large sums of cash from Wicknell Chivhayo. In this picture, Evangelist Muparinga is visibly holding USD 50,000. My understanding is that under Zimbabwe’s financial regulations, it is illegal to hold more than USD 10,000 in cash whether at home or in business premises without prior authorization from the relevant authorities. Can you kindly clarify: Is Muparinga authorized to possess such an amount? Are all these public cash handouts compliant with anti-money laundering and exchange control laws?
