I HAVE A SCHIZO THEORY!
I noticed something in the combat footage. Right after Edward assassinates an enemy with the hidden blade, there's this really brief moment where his stance changes into the hidden blade combat stance, then it snaps straight back to normal. It's like half a second.
Obviously, it's most likely because the game's still a work in progress, but it got me thinking… what if there's actually a hopium chance that hidden blade combat is being implemented? The stance he switches into does look like it's the hidden blade combat stance though and not unarmed stance. See the image.

@Jman88933 The game was very well received and sold over a million units. It also got an anime adaptation so I'd say Bandai Namco pushed it quite a bit.
4 years from release isn't enough time to declare it dead as a franchise.

Scarlet Nexus is one of those games that drives home the point at how hard it is for companies to come out with new IPs. Scarlet Nexus is a fantastic game that 100% should've done better when it came out. It was incredibly unique in the RPG genre and I was hoping Bandai Namco would continue pushing this as one of their new defining games for 9th gen consoles.
But of course, the game seemingly didn't sell well enough for them. So they never saw the need to invest in a sequel and that truly sucks.

just a reminder that Scarlet Nexus is a beautiful game, from the art direction, atmosphere, music & cast of characters. On top of some of the most fun & unique combat ever. here's to hoping that ppl SN a chance one day^^

I remember reading a story that 9/11 caused a divorce. A woman’s husband worked in the twin towers, and he was having an affair. He took that day off and spent it with his affair partner in a hotel. He didn’t know what happened yet, so when his wife called him freaking out asking if he’s okay and asking where he is, he casually just told her “yeah, I’m just heading into a meeting right now.” 💀
