And vulnerability?

At all? Perhaps in some limited sociological sense, not from a life long perspective, peppered with both pleasant and unpleasant fate, consequences, and outcomes.
Everything in this physical world leaves us vulnerable in one way or another.
We wrestle with the first enemy fear. A necessary guide to self preservation. Some carry it throughout their entire lives like a crucifixion of the soul.
“Wear a cross, carry a cross, Joseph”, and
“The meek shall inherit the earth, six feet deep, remember that my son”
I was raised by a brilliant and powerful Alpha.
She was very clear about so many things.
Clarity can be the souls enemy, is a very subtle beast. I have balanced clarity with the known, the unknown, and the unknowable. Succumbing to clarity leads one to become an Insufferable know it all, or a ridiculous sociological clown, or at worse, a bitter and angry self serving narcissist.
Overcoming the pitfalls of both fear and clarity with objective knowledge is power. Power is ultimate seductress derived from realizing nothing is clear, and there is nothing to fear. Power can destroy, conquer, heal, and bring joy.
We temper our power and knowledge with a private inner understanding to those who are less endowed. Power without self control is worse than a mistake, it could turn us into ruthless, irascible, capricious people. One need only look at today’s politicians and how they morph into something unrecognizable after taking office and abusing power.
Alpha Woman Tulsi Gabbard rejected power, did not succumb to its corruption, and yet humbly was rewarded and accepted the role of one the most powerful women on the planet.
Is she straight? Is she a lesbian? Who fucking cares? Power gives and takes no prisoners or specific ideology.
We must defy power and balance it inwardly and internally, and perhaps condescendingly, with a great deal of humility. (Survival for todays sophist and intellect, as you are well aware)
The last most powerful enemy death. We may drive as fast we can, but death is behind us at every turn, and always in the rear view mirror, waiting patiently to overcome.
Death is the God given construct of mortality that defines inescapable vulnerability within us all, throughout our lives.
How we deal with death is as equally important as how we deal with life.
Hence the component and appreciation of a lifetime in every moment. Each point in time, every moment, where nothing is trivial, and every interaction important, like the persistence of memory, draped over the tree of life.
Bushido is a lifetime of the relentless pursuit of perfection, knowledge, and understanding defined by our own standards and precision, coupled with the knowledge that everything we touch, feel, hear, and see is fleeting. It is a cherished lifetime in every moment.
We are vulnerable by design, right up to sickness onto death, ultimately, we have no choice, as Death is inviable, irrevocable, and the final arbiter. We are humans, not Gods. To think otherwise is sheer folly, perhaps slightly delusional.
If sharing a thought, a fear, an understanding, a compassion , or an alternate perspective with another renders me vulnerable, then by your definition, I am weak by nature, through critical analysis and objective clinical dissertation.
Then, I fully appreciate and accept that vulnerability. It humbles my intellect, prepares my soul for the inevitable, strengthens and fortifies my empathy.
I will never carry a cross, nor will I inherit the earth.
I will, however, gracefully meet the master and thank him for this wonderful gift of life which I have cherished every moment though out, sans teeth, sans eyes, sans everything,…..
but, love, empathy, and reverence. My bags are packed, I’m ready to go, FEARLESSLY.
