The most common student loan type. If your family makes a lot of money you won’t qualify for this type of loan. So you may not know about them.

The exodus is mostly boomers selling their homes and retiring in lower taxes states with cheaper property. Idaho saw a boom.

@Shibanator @Pentosh1 Yes LA and SF I can see, but of course the media says CA in general is too expensive. I lived outside of SF and find the prices and expenditures being about the same. Gas is cheaper in FL but my electric was way down in CA with solar and the incentives it carried.

@SandraKusama @Pentosh1 Property tax yes, because that’s how FL generates its revenue. But most people are leaving the cities, and SF and LA are way more expensive cities than Miami. Rent, food, gas, utilities, leisure…

@Shibanator @Pentosh1 The funny thing is besides the income tax narrative, south Florida is more expensive than when I lived in Cali (NorCal). Higher property taxes, property insurance, car insurance. Price of homes is basically the same. It’s a wash really.
