I second you on this. Been telling everyone from past one year, now the ship has already sailed. Have seen dubai property price being stagnant for almost a decade pre covid. My personal investment of 2022 is more than double now, which i do on bnb. But anyone buying the same today, might see the same price after 10 years (with adjusted inflation)

Dubai is stable but tensed. Govt and concern authorities have done and continuing phenomenal job so far. Timely sms alert, advisory and so on. We are seeing exceptional flow in rescheduling and cancellation. My personal opinion the biggest looser in this war is Brand Dubai.

Yesterday we went house hunting again around Mega Bangna and found this 2 storey ~150sqm nice place for around 6.9M THB. The price does not include the larger garden or interior finish but they do throw in free air-cons, vouchers, more discounts, which definitely helps. The showroom looks great and I made a video of the actual available empty house as well which is just around a corner, right next to their tiny park. Feels alrite if you’ve got a car and don’t mind living a bit further out in Dok Mai next to the main Highway No. 9 #Bangkok

Thailand Tourism at it again. The Tourism & Sports Ministry has unveiled the “Buy International, Free Thailand Domestic Flights” campaign, subject to cabinet approval offering 200,000 free round-trip domestic flights (20 kg baggage allowance) to foreign arrivals. Expected to start from September to November 2025, just around the low season and peak intersection. Participating carriers: Thai Airways, Thai AirAsia, Bangkok Airways, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, Thai Vietjet . They want tourists to fly beyond th famous spots like Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai. Fine print says subsidy of 1750 baht per one way ticket, or 3,500 baht for a round trip ticket, for each tourist. Supposedly to be presented/passed next week. I may end up seeing more of Thailand 🇹🇭 😅 than India or any other country that I have ever visited.

I used to think @ravihanda spoke from privilege when he used to say "leave India". Hard truths though 1. Value of life: 300 words. You can die in a traffic jam, due to a pot hole, from a Thar driver, or a kid driving his latest sports car. All the murderer needs to do is write 300 words 2. Country growth: With little money spent on innovation, the only way political parties will get votes is by promising everyone everything. Expect more subsidies and more reservation 3. Courts are a joke. They take holidays that would put SBI to shame. 4. Infra - Every state tries to cram you into one city alone so that they can extract more taxes from you. 5. Food - All the good food is exported. What you get to eat in India is literally what foreign countries reject. Ask coffee plantation owners/ orchards/, and fruit owners. 6. Land. The agricultural land has been ravaged and made poisonous. The housing is out of reach for most people. 7. Corruption: Every odd day you see a minimum of 100 crores from the likes of peons, gardeners and clerks. the system know they are peddling money for someone bigger. But who cares. 8. Religion: The path to spirituality is now the path to politics or violence. 9. Taxes: One day you will earn just to pay the government. Already close to 40% of your income is taxed (direct + indirect). If you are young, I beg you, please do not let your child suffer here. If you have obligations, make plans to send your kid outside.

My recent favorite app for hotel booking is Agoda. This app is crazy good for booking hotels. I have been consistently booking hotels in Thailand using Agoda and have been getting crazy deals. Just now booked my another "THAI TRIP" for September, the hotel cost on every other app including Skyscanner, wego, Google was 20-30% more. One small trick, they keep on throwing deals in between search amd random vouchers, like if you book in next 1 hour get extra discount (they aren't gimmicky, they do work) plus they keep on giving vouchers with every booking. Lastly, pay in forex using a good forex card, paying in inr calls for DCC. I use Olympus and get a killer value. (Agoda's forex rates are very very good, almost as google so pay in curency of your choice)
