I could see you interpreting that way... but I do contend with the idea it was unmistakable. First, many public figures on the Dem side have also made similar gestures without the Nazi accusation. Second... the angle of the arm is wrong. The Nazi salute is straight ahead, not angled out.

If Elon had made the gesture he made twice at the Trump inauguration at any event in 🇩🇪 Giga Berlin or visit to Germany, he would have been charged in Germany under 86a StGB and § 130 StGB and possibly sent for up to 3 years to prison as many others have already, It is against the law and a criminal offense for a reason. The conviction would be independent of what some believe Elon wanted to say with the gesture, but only what can be seen on the video and that is a fact and undoubtedly what is defined in the German law. It's the same in 🇦🇹 Austria and it's forbidden for good reason, namely because of the lessons that the two countries and my homeland have learnt from history. Daudzi šajā saskata hitlerismu. Nezinu, es viņa ķermeņa valodā vienmēr redzu tikai bērnudārzu. Vienas jomas ģēnijs, bet kā vīrietis pārējā palicis kā puišelis ar nenormāliem kompleksiem. Bet ar nonākšanu tik ietekmīgā kompānijā, tas pārādās īpaši.
