@mark_slapinski Nope. My mom used MAID to end her suffering with stage 4 colon cancer when she entered hospice. She wa able to have her last moments with everyone she wanted to, we sang songs, drank champagne and it was everything she wanted. It was so peaceful to die this way.

@NotaliaMateo People were turned off of PP due to the way he ran his campaign. Run on the strengths of your own platform instead of slogans and hate. It comes off as “I have no platform”

For all the Liberals celebrating today, exactly what do you think you "won"? What appealed to you most about the last 10 years? Your kids competing for jobs with the excessive immigration that is well beyond what any country our size could handle? Housing costs that have made it virtually impossible for any young person to EVER own a home? Food costs that even well-off people are side-eying now? Each of those contributing to young people who can't afford families? Endless scandals in government? A government that imposed the emergencies act because of truck horns? A government that has demonstrated they would rather push energy customers away than build pipelines and plants on the coast? Carbon taxes on fuel for homes and vehicles that have no other option? Prioritizing DEI over competence? I could go on but we'll start there.

How did Pierre Poilievre lose Carleton after 20 years? Over 100 candidates flooded his ballot — mostly no-name independents. Only in his riding. Not Carney’s. Not anyone else’s. This wasn’t an election. It was sabotage. Canadians deserve answers. #cdnpoli

@MarcPatrone It shows that after 20 years of him winning in that riding, people who maybe didn’t vote before weren’t wanting him to win again. Not hard to understand. Probably why the ballot was so long too.

What really happened in Poilievre's riding? Why the huge disparity in votes cast and turnout percentage between Nepean where Carney won and Carleton where Poilievre lost....when both ridings have similar numbers of registered voters Carleton had 95,813 registered voters Nepean had 93,728 Votes cast... 83,756 in Carleton 55,963 in Nepean 80 percent turnout in Carleton well above the national average of 67% Nepean turnout just 59.7% Does this pass the smell test?

Poilievre’s riding is really bizarre. He represents Carleton for 20 years and all of a sudden when he’s running for PM he loses? It’s really fishy to me.

@EYakoby Cuz a lot of us can think and don’t want the same situation as in the US. We want someone who will stand up to Trump not bend over.

Read a bunch of comments and it looks like most Canadians are missing the main benefit: The Constitution. The US Constitution contains inalienable rights. These are NOT granted by the government - they are God-given. In Canada, every "right" is from the King. YUGE difference. Impossible to fix the monarchy.

@JackDan110 Why on earth would Canada join as ONE state even if we wanted that?? This makes zero sense! Our country is bigger (by land mass) than the US. I definitely do not want a racist felon leading my country… and I will gladly pay taxes to not have my medical care bankrupt me!
