[CONTENT WARNING] 25-year-old Karma Davis suffered a grand mal seizure and collapsed unconscious on her kitchen floor in Peoria, Illinois. Her rescue pitbull Fayzo, a dog she had saved from an abusive home four years earlier, then savagely mauled her face while she lay helpless. She lost both lips, a large portion of her left cheek, the bottom of her nose and suffered severe damage to both ears. She also nicked an artery in her neck and lost a huge amount of blood. Karma only realised the full horror when she FaceTimed her fiancé and saw herself. The dog has since been euthanised. She has undergone multiple reconstructive surgeries, a skin graft from her leg and is now tube-fed. Tragic and horrifying.

I recently landed a decent paying job and this morning, I received a message from my mom telling me that from now on, the rent would be $150 per week. I text her back, saying I would rather live elsewhere. I pay for my own food and I'm not willing to pay $150 per week just for a room to sleep in at my own mothers house.
