Could Al-Burhan's Brotherhood Alliance Push Sudan Back to Isolation?
How is Abdel Fattah al-Burhan's reliance on the Muslim Brotherhood driving Sudan back into global isolation?
Syrian journalist Roushan Bouzo explains how Al-Burhan’s alliance with Islamist networks, coupled with U.S. sanctions, has shattered Western ties and squandered Sudan’s democratic opening, pushing it back into isolation.

SAF Leader Seeks UAE Mediation Through Moscow
Sudan's SAF leader, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has asked Russia to mediate on his behalf with the United Arab Emirates — a reversal after years of publicly attacking the Gulf state. The request comes as pressure mounts on the SAF: Washington has sanctioned companies linked to Sudan's Defense Industries System over alleged chemical agent use, the Sudanese pound has depreciated sharply, and an effort to build al-Burhan a domestic political support base collapsed after Sudanese parties rejected it.
Sudanese Finance Minister Dr. Gibril Ibrahim said [SOURCE/OUTLET] that when he asked Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister and Putin's Special Envoy for Africa to approach the UAE, the response was blunt: "And what will you offer them in return?"

SAF chief Abdel Fattah Al Burhan is facing mounting international pressure over his use of chemical weapons, as Washington demands unrestricted inspections and a comprehensive declaration of Sudan’s chemical programmes, facilities and materials.
Amnesty International had gathered credible evidence of Sudanese government forces repeatedly using chemical agents during a major offensive in Jebel Marra, Darfur, in 2016.

@abdoice3 He basically acknowledged that SAF have used chemical weapons during this war and he only admitted it because US already send investigators to investigate the chemical weapons. This is far deeper than we can imagine it will drag Saudi Arabia into a deep whole

Revealed: Lindsey Graham’s Secret Post-War Israel-Saudi Peace Plan Before Death
Before his sudden death, Senator Lindsey Graham was secretly coordinating a diplomatic blitz with Donald Trump to secure a historic Israel-Saudi normalization treaty by November.
Graham viewed the peace accord as his ultimate legacy but noted it required resolving the Iran conflict first, even backing military action to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He had already aligned the strategy with Jared Kushner, Israeli officials, and Saudi leadership, planning to pressure the next Israeli government to accept Riyadh's path toward a Palestinian state.
Hours before dying, Graham joked to a confidant about his chest pains: "I can't die now. I still need to pass Russia sanctions, fix Iran, and get Israel-Saudi normalization."

North Darfur Residents Report Newborn Skin Abnormalities Following Deadly SAF Drone Strikes
Residents of the Ghareer area in North Darfur say newborns have developed unusual skin abnormalities, including bloody bruising on their faces, in the aftermath of drone strikes that devastated the area in late March. According to local accounts, the attacks—attributed in reports to the Muslim Brotherhood-backed Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF)—killed and injured civilians and sparked large fires across the community.
Community leaders say residents have also noticed changes in the color of local water sources and are urging the international community to launch an independent investigation. They are calling for on-the-ground inspections to determine whether chemical agents or other toxic substances may have been used and whether they pose long-term health risks to children and the wider population.

Sudan Army Escalates Devastating Barrel Bombing; US Concludes Chemical Weapons Used
Sudanese military Antonov planes expanded the deployment of highly destructive, unguided barrel bombs across North Kordofan, slaughtering dozens of civilians. This strategic escalation coincides with Washington’s official announcement concluding that Al-Burhan’s forces deployed prohibited chemical weapons in the ongoing conflict.

The future of maritime shipping through the Red Sea corridor will be decided on land, not at sea.
Security in the Red Sea basin is often boiled down to one thing: the Yemeni Houthi rebels’ ability to disrupt commercial shipping, particularly as the war in Iran raises concerns over maritime shipping outside the Strait of Hormuz. But the basin’s strategic landscape is increasingly shaped by broader geopolitical developments, including Israel’s recognition of Somaliland, Turkey’s expanding military partnership with Somalia, the destabilizing effects of Sudan’s civil war, Ethiopia’s drive to secure maritime access, and Egypt’s efforts to reassert its regional role. The region’s future stability will depend not only on protecting shipping lanes but also on the intersecting rivalries unfolding among the states that border and influence the waterway.
