This weekend while out for lunch at a restaurant near Asheville, NC I sat near two Trump supporting gentleman and close enough to overhear their conversation. I used to think of them as low information, but I was wrong. These men were smart and full of information. Unfortunately, the information comes from another universe from the one that I am living in. This really was clear when they were discussing the storm and discussing how all of the information about how the Government was directing the storm to this area will come out after Trump is in office. I make this point because they were as certain in what they were discussing and intelligent in discussing it as I am certain of how wrong they are. As they both drove away in their septic tank work trucks, I realized how the Republicans won this group of hard-working Americans and it was on AM Radio. They will go turn on AM radio and receive their information about America there. I finally understand why Rush Limbaugh and others were paid so much money to work on AM radio. We lost that battle, and we need to figure out how to reengage with these Americans across America with actual facts and in a format that they want to listen to.

It’s Election Day in Philly. I spoke to more than a dozen young people (21-32) in this line. Nearly every one (and every young woman) listed women’s rights or abortion access as the top issue motivating them to vote. Other issues listed were the climate, economy, and democracy.

One reason pollsters might be failing to pick up what and Seltzer picked up in Iowa, is a lot of women are afraid to say they are voting for Harris. Sharing stories yesterday after knocking doors in Pennsylvania, can't tell you the number of canvassers who had wives standing in the background while speaking to the husband and having them mouth something to the effect that they were voting for Harris. Or if they answered the door, they pretended to not say who they were voting for out loud and then whispered they were voting for Harris. It's kind of heartbreaking actually.

Ignore the Iowa poll — ignore ALL the polls. Pedal to the metal. All gas, no brakes.

But please do not let the Iowa poll change your attitude. Lots of work still to do. Find some folks tomorrow among your family and friends who are not planning on voting. And convince them how important it is.

So in the last 48 hours Jill Stein’s VP has endorsed a national 16 week abortion ban and revealed he’s transphobic. This is the “super progressive” third party option y’all are trying to convince me we should get behind. Be so serious.

@IAmSophiaNelson I trust no media now, not CNN & not the polls after the LATimes/WaPo debacle. We all know what we know: Trump is a loser, those who voted for him in 2016 didn't vote for him in 2020 and won't again. The biggest obstacle is racism/sexism. That'll be the touchstone.

I'm urging the Justice Department to investigate whether Elon Musk and his PAC are violating federal law by offering cash prizes for voter registration. If the actions prove to be illegal, the Justice Department must take appropriate enforcement action, including prosecution.
