A young woman just told me since she deleted her IG, her desire to travel has gone down. This reminded me of an interaction I had with a guy friend of mine who told me his gf choice of destination is based upon what is trending on social media. Looking back in the 2000s and maybe even first half of 2010s, I don’t remember the travel frenzy women have these days. There is definitely a correlation. Some type of digital keeping up with the Jones. Lowkey indicator of how much social media cooked she has become.

If you: 1. Have a car 2. Live near restaurants WHY ARE YOU GETTING DOORDASH????? It costs way more and it tastes terrible. Plus you run the risk of someone having messed with your food during the drive over. How is it worth it? Just place your order with the restaurant and take five minutes to go pick it up.

I was homeschooled all the way through high school, after spending my first three years in public school. Can confirm: homeschool kids are weird. At least they were in the 90s. I think there’s a lot more mainstream homeschooling families who don’t do it to hide their kids from the world like it used to be, which definitely helps. But if you weren’t homeschooled personally, and you’re choosing this for your kids, you need to listen to the experts and people who have experienced it personally.
