In 2017, at age 57, I walked into a CrossFit box for the first time in my life. I was looking to find fitness but I found so much more. I found an amazing community of true friends and supporters. After almost nine years at Riptide CrossFit in Fort Lauderdale, I am truly humbled and honored to have been given this legacy award. At @EthereumDenver this year, we built something special. A gallery inside the conference. A black box for art. It was not an easy build. Creating a focused exhibition space within the intensity and noise of a technology event takes a village. I was incredibly lucky to work with a team that believed in the idea and helped turn it into a real, living space. Inside that black box, digital, physical, and immersive works met the most vibrant community members. The gallery was shaped by guest curators, activated through talks and conversations, and ultimately defined by the artists whose work gave the space its energy. Proud of what we created together.
