@RaviBhalla at the hoboken soccer fields, the screen around the field is detached behind the goal, and in multiple spots. We’ve seen multiple folks lose soccer balls into the water. Please help on maintenance for this valuable public facility!

@PainSci Yes! Especially from what I've recently read from @DrGaborMate, chronic pain is strongly associated w/ stress and trauma, and BIPOC disproportionately are affected by those things, which often expresses as chronic pain.

“Chronic pain is not political,” I have been told by a reader who is cranky that I think #BlackLivesMatter. I am writing about this, got some strong opinions about it, but hit me with some of yours before I go further: racism and other prejudices relevant to chronic pain?

There is ZERO excuse for the response to not have improved to an acceptable level by MAY. UI office leadership needs to step up and/or be held responsible for this UTTER FAILING on behalf of NJ residents.

Outside of direct health-centric response to COVID, UI support is the *MOST* essential service the state should be providing right now. And it arguably impacts significantly more people in the state than even that.

@NJGov NJ deserves answers on what you’re doing to properly serve the record numbers of folks applying for UI and needing to claim weekly benefits. It is ENTIRELY BACKWARDS that “due to extremely high volumes, phone availability will be limited”.

New Jerseyans deserve answers on what you’re doing to properly staff UI call centers, resource the website that is now servicing a record number in NJ. If not, we deserve swift replacements of UI office leadership. It’s already over a month out from policy changes. DO BETTER.

@GovMurphy the absolutely abhorrent lack of unemployment support is truly unacceptable. The website tells us to call the call center, the call center tells us to call another number and THAT number has a generic message to “call back tomorrow”, that repeats daily. UNACCEPTABLE.
