Hey, so, uh, given that a Republican member of Congress stood up in front of all his colleagues during this national crisis of not having a Speaker of the House--a constitutional officer and 2nd-in-line to the presidency--for three weeks now, and told a senior member of his party leadership that he needs to "get right with Jesus" because of his vote to protect marriage equality and they're all just gonna let this go and act like it didn't happen, can we please stop pretending that Republican lawmakers aren't hoping to ban same-sex marriage?

Things I was taught throughout my medical training that I've stopped believing: -patients lie to get what they want -patients are unreliable -10 out of 10 pain is rare -patients who don't get better are non-compliant -patients who don't get better have psychiatric problems -the end justifies the means when it comes to medical treatment -medical consent is a piece of paper I am not perfect. But I am learning. And the best teacher isn't my professors' voices in my head or the textbooks, but the person who sits right in front of me in the exam room.

We are deeply saddened to learn the cause of death of Olympic medalist and world champion sprinter, Tori Bowie. Black women die at exceedingly higher rates due to pregnancy-related complications. We face a much higher risk of maternal death due to various reasons including chronic stress and implicit bias from health care providers. a healer will trigger you. it’s inevitable. that’s their purpose, to trigger you into healing. to trigger your wounds to surface. to trigger you to face your own darkness. to trigger you into accepting, integrating, & loving your shadow. to trigger you to grow & evolve into your highest self. doesn’t mean they’re bringing out the worst in you. on the contrary, they’re bringing you closer to the best in you. intention & energy matter.

I use Telehealth for my Dx & Rx bc after calling 8 local providers I was STILL unable to find a someone to take me on as a patient. Since then, I see a provider monthly & they specialize in treating folks w/ adult ADHD. Where else will I get this level of care? @POTUS
