@NeZhaMain @DBZimran The show will please fans and non-fans alike, but not fans who obsessive, e.g. will find something weekly to critique, especially with the anime adaption (e.g. Sanji-gate). You cannot adapt any manga 1:1 in a live action, try and find joy somewhere else.

When they say the LA is a success this is what it means. It’s something casuals can watch, enjoy and follow up the source material. Not because a random x user doesn’t like it, it’s not the manga but it’s still good, u don’t need to like it

only just noticed now that several of Minoru Maeda's cuts were reused from the opening for this fight. i was wondering why Yukio Ebisawa's work looked so close to the manga all of a sudden lol

@GhostXEmperor @codeinecraig Agreed, similarly One Piece started strong but faced the same issues 200+ episodes in when movie music was rehashed for the TV series, resulting in a loss of identity, which took a very long time to improve. That being said, the music of One Piece is more diverse and iconic.

They struggled to give Goku a definitive leitmotif because it was first the melody of Makafushigi Adventure, but it ceased to be the opening theme. Kikuchi continued to use Makafushigi until DBZ Movie 2, and then kept giving him multiple different leitmotifs since Movie 3.

So only now have I started to learn some of the character leimotifs beyond Piccolo's from the original Z score, and I had no idea there was a Toei Goku theme. One used prominently in the later Z movies.

@DBZimran I’ve talked to many people who never read the series, and they say the acting feels campy, which honestly fits the source material better. Similar how you can't please manga-first readers with the anime, the same is true for the live-action. Adaption head-canon.
