York have lost their last four in a row. Bradford have lost three of their last four. Toulouse have now lost their past five in a row. Unfair to judge the promoted teams after two rounds, and also seven as well. Can judge them fairly after 27 rounds. But as the season rolls on depth is stretched and injuries bite even harder.

Excellent crowds aside, the Ashes series was a disaster for England. Media & fans let down by the team's invisibility. Players let down by Wane's 'credit in the bank' team selection and 'Churchillian' tactics. Wane let down by SL Chairmen for lack of any meaningful preparation. Hopefully lessons are learned.

Just had a lovely phone call from a Championship owner who has congratulated the Bradford Bulls on their deserved return to the Super League. I know it was a tongue in cheek comment but he did say that his club will now be circa £40,000 worse off without the thousands of Bradford supporters visiting their ground next season. I guess on the flip side of that situation, it is certainly good news for the Super League clubs bank accounts. Which can expect to see a huge windfall when Bradford visit them next season.
