I was an Avax maxi before and @StereoxxxX post changed my life. He started to post about pump.fun and I started to dig into it and decided to max bid everything lol until I hit a home run. #michi I can't believe how low volume network I was trading on. I thought solana was bad and avalanche was nice with good memes lol that shit ain't moving. I am so glad I moved to solana. That little change in my life made me a millionaire. Now I'm a michillionaire and soon to be multi michillionaire. We are sending so much higher🔥 Michi gang is real.

@TradingAloha @0xGuru the sun, and a compact fluorescent lightbulb can both be used as a light source. even if you took 1 million lightbulbs, you couldn't match the output of the sun. a $200k dev is a 10x dev. a 10x dev with Claude/GPT is a 30x dev. more workers arent necessarily better.

@0xGuru I would argue its probably better to pay 2 people 100k over 1 person 175k-200k. Scrape up the difference and double the output.

Every role in web3 is “head of xxx”, “director of xxx”. Are all these positions 1 deep? Where are the 2-3 deep positions that are out there grinding and getting the exposure and reps in as part of the team? I never see these positions advertised and don’t think they truly exist.

@Juzzwashere @thearena I actually agree. anything with ponzinomics will have their 15 min of fame, but if you've been in crypto long enough you know that recreating (social media) and adding tips is not gonna work in the long run. I think @MoonshotDapp is a better implementation of "SocialFi"

@zatoichi42 @nikzh > The theory that lower fees attract additional adoption has been disproven time and time again. I mean, you're being pedantic, but if there is chain congestion, it's been proven time and time again people use another chain or not transact at all.

Half the argument for the small block is exactly protecting Bitcoin from the future reduction in subsidy. The larger the block, the lower the fees. Supply and demand works in Bitcoin same as everywhere. The reason BCH, Monero and the like are drowning, is their disregard for basic economics. The theory that lower fees attract additional adoption has been disproven time and time again. If you believe in it so much, you should be in KASPA which is POW and has fees so low, transfers are basically free, while the speed is faster than majority of POS coins. Some miners will drop off, the difficulty will decrease and others will come in to take their place. We have a precedent with a recent China ban where a large percentage of miners was taken down in a short period of time. This happened on smaller scale in several countries. This also happened in previous halvings.

So the Runes fad is over, the fee rate is back to 20 sat per byte, and Bitcoin's security budget has almost halved 🔮 Laser eyes have been proven wrong once again: sustainable large fees are not happening; Bitcoin's security is diminishing 📉 The 1 MB limit has to go 🎶
Nikita Zhavoronkov tweet media
Nikita Zhavoronkov@nikzh

@StanislawBits There's no "sustained high fee rates", it always gets back to 1-10 sat per byte. Outpriced users simply move to other blockchains and the pressure is relieved.

@MPSilver727 @ChrisPacia if you're thinking it has to be a single chain, then kinda. but even then, there are still a handful of different chains that can work. twitter.com/_patrickogrady… but the answer is interoperable app-chains. Each built for custom use cases.

Problem is, you can't have a secure or decentralized network that provides fast cheap transactions for the entire globe 24/7. You can only do that if it's centralized. BCH's proposal would conclude with 1 - 3 supercomputers running the whole network, kind of like visa. Therefore, people would rather use BTC with the high fees as it's more secure and a better store of value.

I don't think Bitcoiners realize that the "store of value" function of money is not a separate function from "medium of exchange". By definition, when you acquire an asset for use as a medium of exchange there is a temporal element to it. You cannot immediately exchange it for the good or service you want. Some time must past in between when you acquire it and when you trade it. The asset is then "storing value" until you ultimately trade it for what you want. But this is part of what it means to be a medium of exchange. Not some kind of separate function.

@tommy50107317 @steveinpursuit > no one is using your chain. why does that matter? BTC maximalists made it seem like the world would end if you changed the 1mb parameter. In code, we can test this and we did. they lied to hold onto control.

I can hardly bear the stupidity of people seeing BTC fees drop to $10 and declaring that big blockers were wrong, there was no conspiracy. Extraordinary. Imagine some engineers intentionally redesigned the LA highway system to make it exclusively one-lane roads, and they openly say "Traffic congestion is good!" The big-laners point out that actually this will cause extreme problems and will make driving damn near impossible in rush hour. Rush hour comes, the whole thing is gridlocked, and finally a week later at 3am the roads clear somewhat, with only mild congestion. Then, some idiot looks at the 3am traffic and goes, "See? You big-laners were wrong! There was no conspiracy!" Words cannot describe...

@strayyhat @DominicCarb if you genuinely want to know why you're wrong it's because you would need to count the totality of avalanche subnet transactions against solana's L1. you can launch L1s on avax, whereas sol is a tailored L1. tokenterminal is not sophisticated enough to graph that data.

I hear a lot about how amazing the UX is on Solana so I figured I’d give it an unfiltered try as a user. 1. Phantom Wallet: Very buggy, the Face ID login glitches all the time. As a mobile wallet it’s very similar to others on the market, noting special. 2. The Chain: Several failed transactions over and over again. Of the 10 transactions I’d send about 30% would fail. The speed also didn’t feel any different from AVAX or a Layer 2. 3. Jupiter: Felt like a regular DEX aggregator. Didn’t find anything special or unique. I think what Solana does really well is its community hypes its stuff up. They seem to rally around narratives. If you had a different experience please let me know below

The Avalanche Foundation recognizes the importance of fostering and supporting community initiatives on Avalanche, including the creativity and culture of community coins. The Foundation has reserved a portion of the Culture Catalyst program to include community coins, doing so within an established eligibility criteria framework. This framework, laid out in these categories, is designed to identify community coin projects that show stability, growth potential, and a commitment to fair practices in crypto: ✅ Fairly Launched ✅ Snipe Bot Resistant ✅ Secure ✅ High Holder Count ✅ Low Concentration ✅ Broad Liquidity Provisioning ✅ High Liquidity ✅ Minimum Lifespan ✅ Minimum Market Cap ✅ Daily Trading Volume ✅ Native to Avalanche The purpose of disclosing the eligibility criteria here is to enunciate the Foundation’s values and provide direction to the community. These criteria are subject to change in the Foundation’s sole discretion; meeting the eligibility criteria does not imply that the Foundation will support a coin, and additional criteria may be used to determine which coins to include in the Culture Catalyst program. @cryptofishx so you're saying we should use customer deposits to lock into our own validators? what happens when you have 2000 avax locked and a user wants to bridge their avax back? the better solution is to remove the 2000 avax requirement

To add, L2s like Blast have paved the way to growth back a new subnet: Farmers bridge AVAX to new subnet Which is staked by protocol into benqi or gogopool Congrats - protocol just secured the AVAX for its validator set Users can now earn staked AVAX yield AND airdrop points (Bonus if there’s MEV-enabled validators for additional rewards!) Now apply this to any of the new subnets coming up, e.g. $hubble, $gunz, $ferdy Avax WILL explode
fish@cryptofishx

The cosmos eco is complicated but the fact that there’s so many airdrop opportunities compels you to explore Avax should take note and adopt it for all new subnets launching imo Would be a great way to onboard new users to the ecosystem
