@s0mbrasounds @Joanwastakenxd @rens_twi @st4rgaze_MZT Idk if you are already aware but I think you have body dysmorphia - you don’t even have broad shoulders?? You are more straight shaped (like me). Some high waisted flare jeans and a cropped t-shirt would be flattering. Peplum shirts are good for the waist too

@s0mbrasounds @Joanwastakenxd @rens_twi @st4rgaze_MZT I’m just a stranger that stumbled across this thread but I just wanna say that you have genuinely very feminine features (honestly more feminine than me lol as a ciswoman with a square jawline)

RSVP is French for “Répondez s'il vous plaît” which means “respond, please” and literally means “Respond, if it pleases you”. English uses lot of French phrases verbatim. Some of them are : 1. Faux pas (false step) 2. Quelle surprise (what a surprise) 3. À la carte (by the menu card) 4. Bon appétit (good appetite) 5. Résumé (summary) 6. Fait accompli (thing done / done deal) 7. En route (on the way) 8. déjà vu (I have already seen) 9. Au contraire (on the contrary) 10. Enfant terrible (disruptive child) 11. Touché (valid) 12. Voila (there it is) 13. C'est la vie (that is life) 14. Coup d'état (strikeout of the state) 15. Raison d'être (reason to be) 16. Tour de force (feat of strength) 17. Vis-a-vis (face to face) 18. M’aidez (help me) - distress mayday signal 19. Double entendre (double meaning) 20. laissez-faire (allow to do)
Dear Self.@Dearme2_

I’m sick of pretending, what does RSVP stand for?

@invinsealble I knew a 12 year old boy with arfid that his parents refused to cater to - he was seriously underweight, you could see his ribs through a t shirt. People don’t understand how serious these disorders are

@moriah_bridges @GreatLakesWife_ (Not discrediting your experience btw, I’m genuinely curious. The hospital told me I would likely continue to have very small babies in future pregnancies)

@moriah_bridges @GreatLakesWife_ My baby was 5lb 8oz (full term) with none of these issues, although closely monitored. I EBF and she would often suck for 40+ minutes. They were never concerned with her standard weight loss. I’m curious if there were extra concerns about your small bub?

I literally don’t care if you give your baby formula but can people stop saying they had to because their milk didn’t come in until day 3/4/5? It’s not supposed to! Their stomachs are the size of a cherry and colostrum is sufficient for the first few days!

@Aspie96 @hellspatisserie That’s not what the sentence implies. It’s referring to recent developments in tech, including *recent developments* in machine learning

It is insane to me how much recent developments in tech, including machine learning, have been deliberately marketed as being directly adversarial to the common person on a mass scale. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it before.

I've seen people who work in AI act shocked and dismayed by the hostile and sometimes violent way people talk about them on here but it really seems like they're intentionally inviting it at this point

@bya3k @TheDejaKing @IAmLilRico All terrorism and hate crimes are punished harshly, often beyond direct material harm. It’s called terror-ism precisely because it inflicts a greater ‘symbolic’ harm of terrorizing a group of people

@TheDejaKing @IAmLilRico none of what you explains justifies a higher sentence than a rape conviction. no one was harmed, no one experienced material loss. these people are being punished for excessively for symbolic reasons.

A Georgia couple who terrorized a Black family at a child’s birthday party with Confederate flags, racial slurs, guns, and death threats were sentenced for a hate crime. Joe Torres got 20 years; Kyla Norton got 15..😳🚨

@CherryKnightley @benedictsred In English and Aussie accents, the letter “o” and letters “au” are pronounced quite differently. Like “oh” with a soft o versus “aw”. I remember my old American roommate used to say words like cot and caught similarly, but they’re totally different in mine

@sazzystudies @benedictsred Trying/failing to understand how you’re pronouncing either “cross” or “sauce” to the extent that they don’t rhyme, because in my heavy regional accent they’re both affected (crawss and sawss) but even in other American accents that don’t pronounce it that way they still rhyme

@emperorfaleras @allie__voss Your “logic” argument makes no sense when the cooking and home keeping vlogs are hugely popular with audiences. Both sides are performing gender roles, hers being domestic labour and his having her domestic labour built-in to the background

@sazzystudies @allie__voss Because men think logically and logically why would you include something that is not different than the norm? Literally everyone cooks or cleans so why would you show other people you doing what adults are supposed to do?

@realteaemoji @daveanthony There was a case recently in Australia where our federal police spent months encouraging an intellectually disabled boy to commit terrorism, after his parents initially approached them asking for help to de-radicalise him theguardian.com/australia-news…

@daveanthony @realteaemoji I suppose the difference is that the feds got into trouble for doing this, and the case was ultimately thrown out by the courts because of their inappropriate behaviour. But yes, our checks&balances can only hold back our lurch towards Americanism for so long
