I think byproduct of online culture is that people are losing interiority as a motivator. A rich, passionate inner life is invisible, & so people think “if it’s not perceived, it’s not worth my time.” but that impulse is essential for creating arts, writing, analysis, etc..

@owenbroadcast please don’t interpret this as an ACKSHUALLY but rather an interesting science tidbit: in animal terms, poison is something secreted by an animal. Venom is something an animal injects into you with a bite etc. So I think frogs have poison and snakes have venom, for example.

@Ranpage198 Ballpoint pens can get poops: little gobs of ink that happen on the paper. In my experience, some brands like bic have zero or near-zero poop incidence. Dunno if that’s what Mr Johnston is referring to but it’s always how I rate a good or bad ballpoint
