Philadelphia Union se hunde Sigo pensando, y nadie me quitará de la idea, que la llegada de Carnell ha destruido un proyecto que leva cuajándose desde hace años. Lo que ocurrió en la pasada temporada fue una rara avis y el técnico sudafricano se aprovechó en parte del trabajo que se llevaba haciendo en los últimos años y con cuatro retoques, consiguió grandes resultado, pero porque el grueso del equipo era el de Curtin. Esta temporada apenas quedan remanentes de la época de Curtin, y se ha convertido en un equipo totalmente suyo, se han visto completamente las carencias y las malas decisiones. El equipo es una calcomanía a St. Louis City SC y ya sabemos lo que ocurrió. Han pasado de Glesnes, José Martínez, Gázdag, Jack McGlynn, Paxten Aaronson, Kai Wagner o Quinn Sullivan a Milan Iloski, Ben Bender, Indiana Vassilev, Agustin Anello, Ezekiel Alladoh. Apenas son Westfield o Harriel (los pocos Homegrown Player que siguen rindiendo a un gran nivel), los que saben qué es Philadelphia Union, el proyecto en el que se ha trabajado y lo que cuesta llevar al equipo a lo más alto saliendo desde la academia. Tiene muy mala pinta el Union si no someten al equipo a un cambio radial.

When the 2026 World Cup was announced for the United States back in 2018, I told myself there was no way I’d miss it. I was going to be there in person, experiencing a World Cup on home soil and I know so many of you felt the exact same way. Fast forward to now, and the ticket prices are completely astronomical. Outrageously unaffordable. What was supposed to be the dream of a lifetime has been priced out of reach for regular fans like me. I’m going to miss watching my country host the biggest event in sports… something I may never get to experience again in my lifetime. Yes, they’re going to make money off this massive event on U.S. soil. But the greed has gone too far. It’s ruining the beautiful game and turning it into something only the wealthy can enjoy. A World Cup should be for everyone not just those who can drop thousands without blinking. This is an absolute shame.

I miss the days when the NCAA Tournament used home floors and you knew instantly where every game was being played. Every game now has the same generic feeling. Bring back this vibe.
